Raider Football News JV Raiders The Rice Raider JV Football team defeated HaUettsville by a score of 21 to 20 on Thursday, October 2 at The Swamp. The Raider offensive team was led by quarterback Ryan Moore who threw a touchdown pass to Terris Shorter. Sean Torres and Jerrell Thomas each scored touchdowns behind the blocking of the offensive line consisting of Jarred Raster, Jonavan Allen, Spencer Spencer, Ryan Korenek, Adrian Shimek Dominic Castillo and Abraham Castillo. Other of- fensive standouts were Brian Cardenas and Mark Sosa. Cristian Samaniego was perfect on PAT attempts. The Raider defense stopped HaUettsville on their last two pos- sessions, which gave the Raider offense a chance to win the game. The defensive standouts for the Raiders were, Alex Cardenas, Jared Raster, Jonavan Allen, Jesse Ross, Dominic Castillo, Lance Howard, Jaseph Whitley, Gary Spates, Brian Cardenas, Mark Sosa and Abraham Castillo and Terris Shorter. Junior High The 7th grade football team played HaUettsville and tied with a score of 0-0. There was great effort by the defense and offense. They moved the baU weU but just couldn't get it in the end zone. Their record is 0-1-2. They play HaUettsvUle again at Rice at 4:30 p.m. The 8th grade footbaU team played HaUettsvUle and lost 14- 16. There were two touchdowns made by JaMikel Dancy and Everitt Grounds. Both offense and defense played their best. Their record is 0-3 in district.     Raider Football News JV Raiders

    The Rice Raider JV Football team defeated HaUettsville by a score of 21 to 20 on Thursday, October 2 at The Swamp. The Raider offensive team was led by quarterback Ryan Moore who threw a touchdown pass to Terris Shorter. Sean Torres and Jerrell Thomas each scored touchdowns behind the blocking of the offensive line consisting of Jarred Raster, Jonavan Allen, Spencer Spencer, Ryan Korenek, Adrian Shimek Dominic Castillo and Abraham Castillo. Other of- fensive standouts were Brian Cardenas and Mark Sosa. Cristian Samaniego was perfect on PAT attempts.

    The Raider defense stopped HaUettsville on their last two pos-

    sessions, which gave the Raider offense a chance to win the game. The defensive standouts for the Raiders were, Alex Cardenas, Jared Raster, Jonavan Allen, Jesse Ross, Dominic Castillo, Lance Howard, Jaseph Whitley, Gary Spates, Brian Cardenas, Mark Sosa and Abraham Castillo and Terris Shorter.

    The Raiders Blue Team will face Wharton and the White Team will face HaUettsville on Thurs- day, October 9 at Altair.

    Junior High The 7th grade football team

    played HaUettsville and tied with a score of 0-0. There was great effort by the defense and offense. They moved the baU weU but just couldn't get it in the end zone. Their record is 0-1-2. They play

    The 8th grade footbaU team played HaUettsvUle and lost 14- 16. There were two touchdowns made by JaMikel Dancy and Everitt Grounds. Both offense and defense played their best. Their record is 0-3 in district.
