Thursday, January 19 Time: 12 noon – 1 p.m. Location: Hearthside Lounge (Room 2313) Film Festival: You Don’t Mess with the Zohan In this political satire/block comedy film by Adam Sandler, ex-Israeli soldier Zohan Dvir fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream of moving to New York and becoming a hairdresser. Complimentary refreshments. Admission is free. Tuesday, January 23 Time: 12 noon – 1 p.m. Location: Hearthside Lounge (Room 2313) Lecture: NASA’s Dr. Jacob Cohen Dr. Jacob Cohen, Chief Scientist at the NASA Ames Research Center will be discussing how he oversees research programs, and serves as the principal center advisor in the administration of long term, high risk, creative, and inventive research programs. Admission is free. JEWISH HERITAGE Modern Judaism MONTH 2017 Wednesday & Thursday, January 25 & 26 Time: 12 noon – 1 p.m. Location: Library Quad College Hour: Club Day Come meet the Jews, Israelis, and Friends at Foothill (JIFF) Club, as well as the other sixty active clubs on campus! Friday, January 27 Time: 5 – 7 p.m. Location: Hearthside Lounge, Campus Center (Room 2313) Shabbat Unplugged: It’s Lit Dinner Shabbat is the Jewish day of rest. Join us for a refreshment hour, prayers, candle lighting ceremony, and cultural cuisine. This will be an unplugged event, so cell phones will be left at the door.
