The world yearns for peace

Peace is rarely an accomplished fact

Peace is a yearning hope

We Long For Peace of Mind

Relationships: family, friends, co-workers

In sickness, troubles, even death

From financial anxieties

From fear of old age security

Fears of threats to our country

From threat of terrorists

Fears Are Real

Americans know fear, uncertainty

Threats Are Not New

Anxieties and fears paralyzed many

People are looking for solutions to fear

God Has Remedy For Fear

Jesus faced His greatest trial of eternity

He left these two statement of comfort:

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world give, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27.

“…that in Me you may have peace.” John 16:33

“In the world you have tribulation.”

Three Reasons For Troubles

Others cause troubles for us

We make decisions that bring trouble

The Devil causes trouble for us

A word that describes someone having a series of troubles: L-I-F-E!

We Become Strong In Trials

Apostle Paul Knew hunger, suffered need

Being humbled, he taught us

“…I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am”

“I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12, 13

God Wants To Give Peace

Faith is the remedy for anxiety and fear

“…do not be anxious for your life…”

“Look at the birds…they do not sow”

“...your heavenly Father feeds them.”

“Are you not worth much more than they”

“Do not be afraid, little flock”

“Peace I leave with you;”

“My peace I give to you…”

“…In Me you have peace.”

Our sins are forgiven

We have peace with God

True Peace is in Christ

Disciples were fearful after Jesus’ death

They were perplexed by unusual events

Thought Jesus would be crowned King

They would rule with Him in Jerusalem

Now He was crucified and buried

Jesus appeared and brought peace

Peace in Perplexities

Storms of life will come to everyone

“…Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer ...let your requests be made know to God. And the peace of God,...shall guard your heart and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4
