Jesus Kills Hostility with His Death (Eph 2:14-16)

I. Jesus is our peace (v14a)

a. By His blood we are reconciled

c. The temptation is to think we do not need to

make peace with God

II. Jesus destroyed the wall of division (v14b-15)

a. He made the two one

b. His flesh _________________ the wall down

c. There is now one ________________ man

d. The temptation is to think there remains a wall

of division

III. Jesus killed hostility (v16)

a. He reconciled us _________________ to God

b. In one body through the cross (Rev 7:9-10)

c. Thereby killing the hostility

d. If Jesus has done this why is there still hostility?
