I was proud to be told by people outside of our
community that our students behaved in a sports-
manlike and considerate manner at the T20 Milo
Blast last week. These are qualities we promote
throughout our school activities and I congratu-
late our families for their support and reinforce-
ment of our school values.
It’s pleasing to see families in our school and at-
tending school events. We are going to be pretty
busy in the run-down to the holidays so I look for-
ward to catching up with you all at some time.
I’m keen to receive your feedback about the
things we plan for your children, and any ideas you
might have for future events. Next term, I will be
surveying families about what we teach and how
we teach it. If you’re not sure what’s happening,
please come to school and check out
our classes—visitors are welcome! Regina

Our students were worthy ambassadors for our school at the T20 Milo Blast last Friday. Well done, everyone. Special thank you to Miss Maher for organising, and to Miss Mel and Al for being on-hand for the day.

Ready4School … little people enjoying
big learning!
Level playing field
By Jess Maher
We have been having a fun time in
Ready4School the last couple of weeks.
We have been learning the ‘ j ’ and ‘ w ’
sound and counting up to 10 and back
down.
These pictures show Darcy during our ‘ j
’ week making some delicious creaming
soda jelly.

sion during a game of charades.
What a great day the Singleton T20 Gala Day was! All our
students took part in 4 modified games of cricket to help
build their knowledge of the game and the skills needed
to play the game. Our students showed great sportsman-
ship and were well behaved all day. A big thank you to all
the parents who joined us on the day! Your support for all
students on the day was greatly appreciated.

HEALTHY BRAINS!
Our P&C is committed
to the Department of
Education’s Healthy
Canteen Strategy, a
government initiative
to combat obesity in
children across Austral-
ia. When shopping for
and preparing lunch-
boxes, please avoid
chocolates and candy
-like food that is high in
sugar. Equally ineffec-
tive brain-food are
salty chips and snacks.
Please select small,
snack-packs; large,
oversize packs are not
ideal as a lunch food.
Working together, we
can ensure your child
is fit and healthy to
learn.
