Captured Lessons Learned on the CO2 project that are being utilized in future drilling programs to achieve

Maximum Optimization. The value for one time use of 80 lessons learned amounted to over $700,000. Lessons

Learned were captured in a two month period.

Created Lessons Learned data base for future references in writing well programs, planning meetings, and pre-tour

meeting.

Analysis of Lessons Learned during drilling operations, to define Invisible Lost Time, then taking results to

enhance drilling program to acquire Performance Optimization. The result of this will cut Non-Productive Time.

Track / record all phases and steps in the drilling program, then analyzed the progress of improvements.

Developed an Operation Best Practice Manuals designed for a particular field and rig.

Cross train drilling team to assume process responsibilities.

Team member along with some of the service companies in the Barnett Shale, implementing a safety awareness

program called “24/7’s”. This program was used in developing a Culture of Safety.

Drilling in an active CO2 flood with H2S. Manage Pressure Drilling was utilized.

Supervised the drilling of gas wells in the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania, the Barnett Shale, Marble Falls,

Bryson, Caddo, Mississippi Reef, Bend conglomerate, Ellenberger in Texas, and Pennsylvanian in Illinois.

Drilling on Pad with existing wells that have been completed and producing. These wells were High Pressure and

High Volume wells (testing between 25 MMCF to 43 MMCF per day).

Worked with engineers from Canada Quicksilver Resources, learning new drilling techniques to be used in the

Barnet Shale. Trained numerous Quicksilver consultants in drilling techniques and the Production Access

Reporting systems. Drilling most wells with savings up to 25% to 30% under budget.

Drilling fluids (OBM, WBM) / air drilling, drilling directional & horizontal well (9,000’ plus laterals) paths on multi

well pads (16 wells on Pad), close loop systems, fishing / pipe recovery operations, well control operations, high

pressure gas wells (Manage Pressure Drilling), drilling underbalance, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE)

programs / audits. Close loop system, and drilling with casing.

Coached Drill Site Supervisors, Drilling Rig personal, and all third party contractors to enhance their performance.

On CO2 project over all drilling operations improved by 34.7%. Rig down, Move In, and Rig up improved by

18.5%, Drill Surface improved by 14.3%, Surface Casing(includes every step from TD of surface to Drill out

surface casing shoe) improved by 23.6%, Drill production improved by 37.8%, Production Casing (includes every

step from TD of production section to Rig Release) improved by 52.2%.

On CO2 project saved Client over $320,000 per well off AFE budget. Wells prior to me being on project, were

going over budget by several $100,000.

On CO2 project captured Lessons Learned from all drill site personal, that are being utilized in future drilling

programs to achieve maximum optimization. The value for one time use of 80 lessons learned amounted to

over $700,000.

Drilling Horizontals wells with AutoTrak Curve by Baker Hughes. With the AutoTrak Curve system we are able to

drill longer horizontals with no torque or drag with more precision. Drilling Curve and lateral with (1) BHA and

bit. Drilling over 9,000’ laterals.

Regularly discuss performance with team to keep them focused and motivated.

Facilitate Planning Meetings for Each Phase of the Well.
