- Director, Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, overseeing
rotating MAMC Ob-Gyn Residents, rotating 3rd and 4th year medical students from the
University of Washington and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, a
rotating Geriatric Fellow, one Nurse, and one appointment clerk. 2002 to 2012.
- Provide Urogynecologic and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery tertiary care consultation
services for MAMC and regional Triservice facilities, including Bremerton Naval Hospital
(WA), Oak Harbor Naval Hospital (WA), Everett Naval Air Station (WA), McChord AFB
(WA), Bassett Army Community Hospital (AK), Elmendorf AFB (AK). Performed
approximately 175 inpatient surgical cases per year, 2002 to present.
- Associate Fellowship Director, 2002-2004, for the Female Pelvic Medicine and
Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at MAMC. Responsible for over 90% of the inpatient

- As a Faculty physician in the MAMC Department of Ob-Gyn, responsible for general
obstetric and gynecologic care of active duty, dependent, retired, and DOD patients in the
Pacific Northwest military community (2000 deliveries/year), as well as referral care
throughout Tricare Region 11. Take overnight and weekend Call (in-house) with 2-3
residents, approximately twice per month, 2002 to 2012; responsible for all Ob-Gyn
patients admitted for Labor & Delivery, for Gyn surgery, and all Emergency Room
consults.
- Educate and Mentor 16 Residents per year in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
at MAMC (4 residents at each PGY level), 2002 to 2012.

- Deployed with the 47th CSH to Mosul, Iraq, under the 30th Medical Brigade, in
support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), from October, 2005, to May, 2006.
1) Served as OIC, Specialty Care Clinic, 47th CSH, supervising 6 medical
providers (3 physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, 1 community health nurse, and
1 physical therapist) and 8 enlisted soldiers. 1100 outpatient visits, 250
immunizations, and 300 post-deployment health assessments per month.

2) Served as the Gynecologist of the 86th CSH: outpatient consultation and
inpatient medical & surgical care for female soldiers in central Iraq.
3) Served as the Iraqi Theater Consultant for Gynecology: telephone and e-mail
consultation to providers and patients, and provided 100% of referral
inpatient Gynecologic care to female soldiers in Iraq.
4) Served as an assistant Trauma Surgeon and Triage officer for the 86th CSH,
providing care to trauma patients.
5) Served as Acting DCCS for 804 MED Brigade for 4 weeks. Coordinated

- We performed outpatient evaluation of approximately 100 women with urinary and
fecal incontinence and prolapse. Over 1.5 weeks, we operated on 30 women. Group of
8 urologists and Urogynecologists.
Niger
- December 2 – 14, 2004.
- National Hospital, Niamey, Niger.
- We performed outpatient evaluation of approximately 80 women from remote villages
in Niger that were suffering from urinary incontinence due to complicated vesico-
vaginal fistulae. The fistulae were caused by obstetric injury from prolonged labor that
resulted in stillbirth. Over 2 weeks, we operated on 44 women. Group of 8
Urogynecologists.
