Safety Management Systems The company utilizes an online data management system called DATS to manage its Safety Management System (SMS). From an HR perspective, the systems manages employee information, training documentation and competency assessments. DATS also manages due diligence requirements, such as general inspection records, hazard assessment records, toolbox and safety meeting records. Incidents and investigations are also managed by this fully cloud based tool. Full visibility and reports are easily provided to all clients and auditors. Upon request, we can develop a custom reporting package specific to a client, based on their HSE due diligence requirements.

HSE Performance Statistics – 2010 through to 2014. JD Piling has maintained a zero LTI record while recording over 180,000 exposure hours in the
past five years, including sub-contractors. The company works hard to record near misses and investigates all incidents fully.
Workers Compensation Rate Performance – 2010 through to 2014. Efforts to improve the safety culture at JD Piling are reflected by our improving WCB rate
performance. Our discount rate has steadily improved to -14%, well on our way to a target discount rate of -40%. Premiums have dropped 25% from $3.66 to $2.92 in the past five years.
