Introduction

Trainer’s Profile

Mr. K. Kesavan – IC No : 570612-10-6215 is currently the Human Resource /

Industrial Relations Advisor of The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM).

He started his career as an Enforcement Officer with the Enforcement Division,

Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs from 1981 to1997. He later joined

the Department of Industrial Relations, Ministry of Human Resources as an Industrial

Relations as an Industrial Relations Officer and Served the Department from 1997 to

2008. In 2008 he was appointed the Deputy Director of the Enforcement Division of

the Department of Labour Peninsula Malaysia, where he served until 2015. In 2015

he became the principal Assistant Secretary to the Policy Division (Labour Policy

Division) of the Ministry of Human Resources Prior to his retirement in 2017. He

joined FMM in 2017. He had been conducting Public as well in house training

programs relating to employment legislations, discipline and misconduct and

domestic inquiries. In is current capacity in FMM, he is advising member companies

on the compliance and implementation of the various labour legislations, discipline

issues. He holds a Masters in Human Resource Management from the Open

University of Malaysia.
