Kirsti is correct because I could use column addition to subtract 65cm from 100cm. I could also use a number line to count on from 65cm to 100cm.

A is incorrect. Tom has taken away 2cm. the question asks Tom to subtract 2m. The answer should be 40cm.

Mrs Brook has 5m 72cm left or 572cm.

There would be 2m 32cm of tape left.

Car = 5m, Bike = 150cm. The train is 18m 50cm longer than the bike.

You can either add the side up or if the sides are the same length you can multiply the side length by the number of sides.

In the blue rectangle, the pairs of sides are the same lengths. The two vertical sides are 2cm long and the two horizontal sides are 6cm long.

Teddy is incorrect. If the shape is regular (eg a square) then you only need to know the length of one side. If the shape is irregular then the sides are all different lengths so you would need to know the length of each side to find the perimeter.
