We welcome everyone in the community to join us!! We hope to help you learn a little about us and our program and see our facilities which includes our horse stables. We will have hay rides, music, pumpkin painting, all types of games and fun things for kids to do! We will also have a large indoor yard sale event! The space is huge and the items available are plentiful! The event is free for all! We will be hosting an empty bowl event which will feature handcrafted pottery. The way an empty bowl event works is that, for a minimal cost, you will be able to pick out your bowl and have it filled as many times as you would like with your choice from our empty bowl menu. Our food choices for the empty bowl event will be: Chili Con Carne Great Northern Soup Beans with Ham Spaghetti with Meat Sauce All are served with Homemade Corn Bread, and your choice of drink and dessert This is our annual fund raising event for our ministry and it cannot happen without your help. To help us make this event a success we will need many people from our community to get involved. This can be any person, company or group. There are several ways in which to get involved and make this event successful. One is by becoming a monetary sponsor of which we have several levels available. One is to help us at the event itself by offering your help to run one of the booths or get involved in helping with the empty bowl event or another area of need. Another way to help is to contribute items that are needed for the event itself, food items to prepare and/or drinks, paper products, etc. , however you choose to help will be a blessing to this ministry and all the men and families in our community that this ministry touches. We will have hay rides, music, pumpkin painting, all types of games and fun things for kids to do! We will also have a large indoor yard sale event! How to help? Prepare a dish (it’s easy), come and eat (11:00-2:00), donate goods or

services to silent auction, bid BIG! See bulletin board for information and sign up.

Proceeds will fund a 2 day free medical clinic in Obaga, Kenya.

There is truth in the old saying “If only the best birds sang the woods would be silent”. It’s also true in our Music and Worship Arts, EVERYONE IS NEEDED AND WELCOMED. Please find your place and help us kick off this fall with lots of involvement in our many choirs. Everyone’s gifts and talents put together will make for an AMAZING YEAR!!! SO MAKE YOUR PLANS TO ATTEND and bring a friend or two or three. (2019 chaperones are invited to see the slideshow). Please note that we will have our first Marketplace on Saturday, October 19th from 8:00 am till noon. This is a wonderful opportunity to start making money for our Summer Music Tour 2020! (just remember it’s a yard sale BUT you set it up, sell it, collect your money and place into the provided envelope, give it to me at the end of the Marketplace, take the rest of your stuff back home or to the thrift store.) The money goes into your account for SMT 2020. $50 deposits are due by Sept. 29th. To-tal cost of SMT 2020 is $395. KIDS OF THE KINGDOM: Isabella has some great music picked out for you this year so make sure you come on Wednesday afternoons and BRING A FRIEND. (Christmas music, spring musical and lots of fun tunes for the school year).

If you have any CDs or Scripts/Books from past musicals at home,

please return them to the choir room table. We are in process of organizing the music library.

COLLEGE/CAREER ENSEMBLE: (youth choir alumni) Go ahead and mark your December calendars to sing at the 7 pm service on Christmas Eve. Lots of excitement is in the air as we kick off the Fall of 2019. Find your place in our Music/Worship Arts and you will be blessed. Soli Deo Gloria, Roxanne

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOE BOXES

Can you believe Fall is just around the corner? That means Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child 2019 is getting very close. We will kick off our collection starting October 27th.

Our goal this year is to collect 200 boxes. Last year we collected 177 boxes, so let’s reach this goal together. This is such an amazing opportunity to reach the children around the world that have not heard the word of God. More information will be coming soon. In the meantime, start thinking about what you want to put in your boxes for God’s precious children.

For more information, please contact Brandi Dean, 334-494-0178.

Dated pictures have been placed in the sanctuary library from Children’s Ministry events dating back to the early

90’s. PLEASE take some time to look through them especially if yourself or a family member have grown up in this church. Feel free to take the box home, get what

you would like then bring it back for the next person. There really are some good pictures, please take a

moment to reminisce.

September 6th-8th: Children’s Fall Retreat We will be traveling to Camp Glisson locating in Dahlonega, GA. This will be a Christian enriched weekend for both the chaperones and kids. Our time will be spent in fellowship, worship and fun. Please keep the kids and adults in your prayers during this time as we travel and explore how there is Spark of God’s creation in each of us. September 4th: Kids of the Kingdom Kick Off We are looking forward to seeing all our kiddos again!! Kids of the Kingdom is our free weekly afterschool program. The kids have lots of fun during our time together. The program follows pretty closely to the Jasper’s School Calendar regarding when we will have the program and when we will break for a holiday. No sign up is required or minimal attendance. All children: 3 years old through 5th grade are welcome to attend. Our time spend together will consist of snack, lesson, free play and music. Everyone is welcome to stay for dinner with a reservation and minimum family cost. This is a great way to have a quick wholesome family dinner around the table for the equivalent cost of a drive thru. Please let me know if you have any questions.
