Greenstick Fracture
Fracture Is when there is an
incomplete break one side of the bone is broken and the other side is bent.
Its very common to be found in children due to the fact they have softer and more pliable bone structure.
Greenstick fractures doesn’t not displace the bone, and in a growing child usually heal very well.
Compression Fracture
Occurs normal vertebral body of the spine is squished, or compressed, to a smaller height
Can be the result from trauma but in older people and especially woman.
May be caused by a conditions like osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become fragile and more likely to break
Is commonly seen after a fall.
Spiral Fracture
Is when the fracture line spirals around the shaft of the bone.
Can be cause by a twisting injury.
Heals slowly than other type of fractures.
