●A Japanese leading clothing company “Fast Retailing”, famous for its brand “UNIQLO”, donated 8,000 winter clothes to IDPs for alleviation of cold in cooperation with Japanese Embassy and a Japanese NGO.

●Japan Football Association (Vice President Mr. Tashima) donated 50 soccer balls to orphans and IDPs to encourage their daily life.

Japan’s technical cooperation assistance to Iraqi Police

Responding to the request by Ministry of Interior of Iraq, Japan (JICA) has created special trainingcourses on IED clearance as part of assistance for stabilization in newly liberated areas:● Training in Jordan

● Visit to Cambodia Mine Action Center (CMAC) The delegation (Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Environment and KRG) is

expected to visit CMAC in November, 2015 for future cooperation.(※CMAC is a Cambodia’s leading autonomous national demining organization established

in 1992. Their activities include : mine/UXO clearance, risk education, training , survey etc.)

Training for Iraqi Police on IED clearance (NEW)

● Training in Jordan (in total 840 Iraqi people participated)Officials of Ministry of Interior, including police officers have got trained in Jordan in such fields as: ① investigation of terrorist groups and organized crimes, ② cyber crimes, ③ strategic security planning④ techniques of tracking the financial assets for terrorism and money laundry.

● Training in Japan (in total 16 participants)MoI officials, including police officers have got trained in such fields as : ① counter international terrorism, ② organization management for senior police officers.
