to be many goblin-spiders inJapan.

Some folks declare thereare still some goblin-spiders.During the daytime they lookjust like common spiders; but

very late at night, when every-body is asleep, and there is nosound, they become very, verybig, and do awful things.Goblin-spiders are supposedalso to have the magicalpower of taking human shape

so as to deceive people.And there is a famousJapanese story about such aspider.

the country, a haunted temple.No one could live in the build-ing because of the goblinsthat had taken possession ofit. Many brave samurai went
