Thank You to all who have

Thanks again to all who support our program, Arlene Simmers and Bashaw Meats donated this month. We love having guests to help with breakfast, so if you can join us, please give Sherry a call at the school. 780 372-3800. Have a happy holiday season everyone!
Our morning class of 9 children and afternoon class of 12 children keep the Preschool humming! We are working on our fine motor skills through activities and crafts. We love having Miss Tasha as our helper. Since it is December, we will be doing lots of seasonal activities and are very excited about Christmas coming up. We love to learn and sing new songs! Merry Christmas to everyone.
Family Wellness The students at Bashaw School are all progressing in their respective programs. We are at a time in the year where we can see growth and connections to language for the early readers. It is really gratifying to watch them remember sounds, connections and combinations, then apply them to their reading. The more advanced readers are also seeing improvements applying their learning to their individualized programs. Our drama programs are both working towards learning songs, blocking scenes and starting choreography for Peter Pan and Fiddler on the Roof. The Sr drama students participated in the Remembrance Day Ceremony at the school. They sang Flanders Fields in harmony and finished it in a round style. It was beautiful and added to the touching tribute. Guidance with friendships and how to recognize old patterns and new possibilities in managing friendships and relationships has been a part of our programing. Lori Miller Co-ordinator
Generations Daycare Generations Daycare welcomes Miss Trish and Miss Jamie to our team! The children have been interested in airplanes, rocket ships and super heroes this month. We had a lot of fun celebrating Halloween at the end of October and seeing all the great costumes. The nice weather has really helped with getting outside to burn off our energy! Please remember to send mittens and toques so we can get outside before the really cold weather sets in. Generations Daycare will be closed from December 24, 2015 to January3, 2016 for the Christmas break. We wish all our families a safe and happy holiday season. Thanks to everyone for their donations to the center— Tammy Ball for the puzzle, Laura Bleakley for the mat covers, clothes and toys,
Betty Volker for mitts and hats, Laurie Buelow for diapers, The Sehlstrom family for craft supplies, dressup clothes, books and toys, Eileen for sheets and curtains, The Town Office for shells. We are in need of plastic storage drawers and baby wipes. If you have any of these things that you are willing to donate, they would be put to good use.

On behalf of the Bashaw Ag Society Board and members, we would like to wish al our friends a Merry Christmas
and Safe and Happy New Year!
Comedy Night on November 14 was a huge success and we look forward to putting on another show next year! We would like to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the show, as well as our many volunteers. Without volunteers and our community to support us, there would be no way we could continue putting on events like this! We would also like to thank our local businesses and friends of the Ag Society who gave us donations for the event. Special thank you to Tammy Johnson for the $1000.00 donation in memory of Albert Johnson, Flowers at Fred & Pats for donating flowers for the center pieces, Bashaw Meats and Sausage for the donation of the meat trays for lunch at the show, as well as Bashaw Foods. Thank you seems not enough, but we are so grateful we have businesses like you in our community!
If you didn’t attend the Christmas in the Country Craft Show on November 15, you definitely missed out! HUGE thank you to Alison Knockelby for organizing it all! She was the perfect person for the job. She brought in a great variety of venders and made the event go smoothly. From the sweet little dancers, to the tasty concession goodies, and even the mini doughnut truck, it was a pretty great day to be out and about getting into that Christmas spirit. Thank you to the volunteers who came and helped set up and take down after the event.
Remember to add us to your facebook page: Bashaw Ag Board, to keep up to date with upcoming and future events. We have so much planned for 2016, its going to be an exciting year at the Ag Grounds in Bashaw and you won’t want to miss out!
A huge shout out and thank you to Neil Kostenuk for helping to organize the RV and boat storage. He comes out twice a year with his equipment to put in/take out, and move around boats and trailers. It is done so quickly and smoothly every year, we are so thankful for your time to help the Ag Board out.
The Bashaw Ag Society is also accepting resumes for a Janitorial contract. Please include resume and wage expectation. Some duties would include cleaning of hall on a weekly basis and after events. Outdoor bathrooms and shower facility during the summer months and quarterly thorough cleanings of main facility. Only qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview. Full contract details to be discussed at that time. Please email resumes to [email protected]
The Bashaw Ag Society is looking for Tenders to do snow removal, taking over as soon as possible until April 30, 2016. Contract would include removal of snow from sidewalks and entrances within 12 hours of every snowfall. Salt and sand applications when necessary provided by tender.
