January 2021 Newsletter Message from the President I don’t think anyone is sad to see the end of 2020. For me, it has been the strangest time of my life, for many reasons. This was a year in which I was so glad that I have crafts to hold my interest. While I am knitting, crocheting, embroidering, beading, quilting and/or listening to an audio book, I am happy in my own world and can for a time tune out the stress, sadness, and fear that was such a large part of 2020. I needed those breaks. As we begin a new year, there is the promise of new vaccines and maybe an end to the COVID pandemic. Hence there is also the hope that we may be able to meet in person again. “New Year—a new chapter, new verse, or just the same old story? Ultimately we write it. • January 2021 Newsletter Message from the President

I don’t think anyone is sad to see the end of 2020.

The choice is ours.”—Alex Morritt

Our theme for our January presentation, “A New Year, a New You, a New Nametag” seems to be an apt theme for right now. I for one, am looking forward to starting off the year with this engaging class full of ideas! I hope you all will join us and enjoy making a fresh start of 2021.

“Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.”—Helen Keller

Use your interests in crafts to keep your mind engaged, your hands busy, and your heart happy!

Wishing you all a very happy, safe and healthy new year.
