The Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club is a private, founded on Jan- uary 13, 1950, it is an 100 - acre shooting facility organized and maintained by its volunteer membership. The facilities consist of a spacious clubhouse with indoor pis- tol/small bore rifle range and multiple outdoor ranges. The upper outdoor ranges include a skeet field, a trap field, and a wobble Field. The lower outdoor ranges include a 300 yard rifle range, a plinking range, several stations covered firing line pistol and rifle Ranges, and a PPC range. RRPC membership has continued to grow every year. And with this growth our membership strives to meet the de- mands place on this 100 acre facility with the continued resi- dential developments expanding into the once isolated land. We do not intend to compete with other clubs or organiza- tions, but to form partnerships with all, in and around our community, and work towards a common goal. We are dedicated to educating, encouraging, and promoting the proper and safe use of firearms, hunting and conserva- tion, in a friendly, social environment. - 20 voting members were present for the regular membership meeting representing full quorum of the membership.

- 16 new prospective applicants were introduced to the membership and 11 new prospec-tive associates were voted into the club.

- On January 20, Martin Luther King Day, VCDL will participate in Lobby Day 2020. They are organizing buses to transport people to Richmond. Go to VCDL.com for more information and scheduling. Jan 16: Board of Directors Meeting:

- The club’s cash balance is up, YTD Net Income is up, with YTD Expenses up.

- There are 1983 members/associates, with 52 pending applicants. As of the January Board meeting, only about 85% of the membership has paid the 2020 dues.

- Preston Miller was voted in as a new voting members.

NRA Collegiate Rifle Sectional Tournament

Sat, February 15, 8am – 2pm Where: Indoor range (exclusive use, closed to other users)

The Va. Rifle and Pistol Club at UVA will be conducting a NRA Collegiate Rifle Sectional Tournament from 8am until 2:00pm on Sat. February 15. Liberty University is expected to attend. The courses of fire will be a 60 shot three position .22 smallbore match followed by a 60 shot standing precision air rifle match. The paper targets will be scored using an Orion scanning system, which can score a 10 bull target in about 3-5 seconds. Spectators are welcome. Contact: Paul Benneche, 434-260-4559.
