Small Business Mentoring Counselors from the AWC Small Business Development Center are here Tuesdays from 1-3PM to provide evaluation and guidance for established small businesses and those just getting started.
Business Skills Training
Drop-in to talk with the business librarian. Ask questions and use resources covering a variety of business topics. Topics are chosen by attendees for each session.
Drop-In Job Help
Job help services include resume and cover letter assistance, job searching help and interview tips. This is a walk-in service. A reservation is not required and there is no fee to receive help.

Formatting Book Covers for eBooks Saturday, January 4• 1:00PM The class discusses elements, and information to be included before submission using online resources, MS Paint and Microsoft Word. Class requirements: photo for cover background, font-generator, size and colors (png not jpg), book title, series title (if applicable), and author name or pen name. It means that a person or a community can express their opinion or ideas without fear of retaliation or censorship. However, what happens when then opinions expressed are unpopular, violent, or dangerous? Who decides what speech is protected, and what is not? Who regulates social media content? Come and explore the complex history of first amendment freedoms of speech, expression and assembly in America. Facilitated by Gail Rhodes. This event is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
YPG Series…”The Korean War-From Task Force Smith to The Frozen Chosin-results and ramifications” Thursday, January 16• 3:30PM The Chosin Reservoir campaign was directed mainly against the 1st Marine Division of the U.S., which had disembarked in eastern North Korea and moved inland in severe winter weather to a mountainous area near the reservoir. In a surprise attack, more than 100,000 Chinese troops trapped American forces in some of the harshest, most remote territory of the Korean nation-in temperatures that regularly fell to 25 degrees below zero. Come and learn more about the most harrowing Battle of the Korean War. The presenter, Bill Heidner, Museum Curator at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground. This presentation is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.
