January Library Roundup• Mr. Washington and Mrs. Makowski teamed up for College & Career Research.

Mrs. McManus prepared a Symbaloo of favorite colleges and universities along with recommended career research sites. After students finished their research, Mrs. McManus showed students how to use Prezi to put their presentation together.

• Mrs. Raymond’s academy students visited the library to begin their journey through nonfiction. Students brought in their iPads with a list of Dewey Decimal classifications to find the books they were most interested in.

• Mrs. Knopf’s academy visited for book check out.• Mrs. Seabold used the reference room to introduce rising 9th graders to the ROTC

programs at our high schools.• Mrs. Stutts educated team 6-3 about recycling and the activities of the Green

Team.• Mrs. McManus was thrilled to accompany a group of our “Caught Reading”

students to Books-A-Million with Mrs. McLean!

January iPad Update

• 21 iPads circulated to new students or due to damage or technical issues.

• The majority of issues for January included running out of memory/needing to delete apps, missing apps, losing iPads on campus, and errors using new apps.

• Damaged iPads are those that must be sent in for repair. Total Issues Addressed - 103
