FROM THE PRESIDENTCarla Hannay
I just got back from being with my granddaughter during her surgery. I am unable to do an article this month. I will have one next month.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
FROM THE MANAGERLeslee Jones
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We now have a date for replacement of some of the communities water shut off valves. Mark your calendars for January 11th! The contractor will be digging and exposing the lines on the 10th and be ready to go on the 11th. On January 11th all water will be shut off at 6:30 A.M. and will remain off for most of the day - approximately 8 to 10 hours. Reminders will be posted and you will also receive a call the day before. Please plan accordingly - have water jugs filled for consumption and fill your bathtub or buckets with water in order to flush your toilets. Also a reminder from last months article - turn off the breaker for your hot water heater! Remember that the Contractor or Bay Lake is not responsible for the element burning out. Before the water is shut off on the 11th is the time to check the water shut off valve to your own home. If you don't have one (you should) or the existing one is leaking schedule your plumber to do that and any other repairs on that day.
Our “Home of the Month” award for December went to Roger and Louise LaCasse of 87 Camellia Street. They received their $50 gift card! Make sure that you take a ride by this home. Good luck to next month’s winner!
Tickets for the 2012 ELS Sarasota Expo March
5th thru 9th will be going on sale soon! Look for event and sign up info in the clubhouse. Tickets can be purchased in the office - however payment must be by check and made payable to the community that is hosting that event.
THANK YOU
Ray and Ruth Roof would like to thank you for the many cards, well wishes, and prayers for Ray's recovery. Ray received 63 get well cards and most of them were from Bay Lake people. You are an awesome group of people. God bless you all.
CHRISTMAS CAROLS 2011
65 people enjoyed singing carols and listening to the choir sing on Dec. 15, 2011. The choir did a great job. Natalie did a wonderful job playing the piano for the choir. Grace Gagliardi sang O Holy Night beautifully.
Thanks to Ron & Trish Suit for hosting the evening. Also thanks to Grace Gagliardi, Janice & Herb Van Dyke for helping.
