If your student is out more than three days you should request your student’s homework through the office. Volunteer

Do you want to volunteer? It’s a GREAT opportunity to help your child’s school and increase your ability to speak

English. The only thing you need to do is fill out a volunteer application at your child’s school or the district office

and show a valid form of I.D.. Once approved it’s valid for two years. You can then participate in any classroom

parties, field trips, parent teacher association (PTA) functions, etc.

Online Learning Opportunities

BELA

Bethel Elementary Learning Academy (BELA) is a K-6 parent

partnership program. This alternative learning experience of-

fers a blend of on and off-site instruction with certification

teacher support, online courses, and traditional curriculum to

meet the unique and individual needs of students. The school

district is ultimately responsible for student learning. For more

BOA

The Bethel Online Academy (BOA) is an online learning envi-ronment for student in grades 7-12; it makes use of curriculum created by instructors and various other courses offered by Plato and Advanced Academics. The program falls under the umbrella of Alternative Education. Students do their work pri-marily on the internet and maintain contact with adviser sup-port. Unlike state-wide programs, each student in Bethel Online has an adviser to act as their education advocate and primary contact. Students can speak with their adviser by phone, email, or in person. each student’s ability to speak, write, listen, and read English. The district

currently has three elementary schools (Evergreen, Frederickson, and Rocky
