Jane Eyre was an orphan and she lived with her aunt who hated her. The aunt sent Jane out to a girl‘s school. There Jane found friend Helen but Helen died early. Later, when Jane grew up, she worked as a governess of Adele in Thornfield Hall and she fell in love with Adele‘s father Edward Rochester. However, Edward had a secret – he was married and he was hiding his insane wife. It came to Jane‘s knowledge on their wedding day and Jane left Rochester. Later, Jane returned to Thornfield Hall and found out that Mrs Rochester burned the house and died. During the fire Mr Rochester got blind. Jane still loved Rochester, though, and they got married. When their first child was born Rochester began to see with one eye.

Positive: The book has an interesting plot, I liked it and it was quite easy to read. I didn‘t need a dictionary to understand.

Negative: There were some parts which were boring for me and the plot is unnecessarily long.
