Bio

Mr. Yoder has successfully managed projects in a number of fields including Architecture and Construction in addition to 15 years in the field of Software Engineering. Most recently he was Project Manager & CAD specialist for a $3 million dollar Broadcast Cabling contract on the new Marlins Major League Baseball stadium where he was responsible for the engineering and development of the entire set of construction documents. Also included was supervision of electrical sub-contractors and coordination with the general contractor’s staff and all of the other sub-contractors. 3D modeling and coordination of the proposed raceway was required by the GC prior to installation.

Much of the organization, writing and creation of standards were his work based on years of work in various companies; researching, cataloging, creating easier and better ways of working.

Earlier in his career he spent five years working at Autodesk developing early architectural applications, and as half-owner of a consulting company managed the design and development of two world-class engineering applications for Boise’s Laminated Veneer Lumber Division in Medford, Oregon.

He has been involved in the full life-cycle of Software Engineering applications, from conceptual design, selling the idea to upper management and clients, initial design documents, and prototyping through bug tracking and deliverables. The final products have encompassed a wide knowledge of problem sets including architectural and engineering products, which required research and understanding in numerous areas. Installation and delivery systems, help systems, and support of products as well as demonstrations of product specific features at trade shows round out his skill set.

Responsible for all drawings of the Broadcast Cabling System for the New Marlins Park, a modern Major League Baseball field in Miami, FL. Planned conduit routing in 3D for coordination with other trades utilizing AutoCAD 3D software and Navisworks visualization software for renderings, visualizations, and clash detection, and managed the electrical subcontractor installing our raceway.
