The incident took place in Lalban- di near Indo-Nepal border at Sonawarsa in Bihar. One in- jured person has allegedly been taken away by the Nepal police. According to an eyewitness account, the group of Indians were farming in the area when they were fired upon while the Nepali forces claimed they resorted to firing after some Indians were seen trying to cross the border. This scheme shall compli- ment other existing or new schemes of Centre or the UT viz J&K Industrial Policy, 2020 and MSME, as per guide- lines. Elaborating further, Princi- pal Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Depart- ment, Navin K. Choudhary informed that Poultry indus- try represents a major suc- cess story in the country and is one of the fastest growing segments of livestock sector. Last decade has witnessed tremendous growth in the poultry sector in J&K, he add- ed saying that poultry farm- ing has come up in a big way in Jammu, Kathua, Udham- pur, Pulwama, Srinagar and Budgam districts with large number of educated youth taking up poultry farming as a sustainable means of earn- ing livelihood. He said that although J&K has an enor- mous potential and condu- cive environment for poultry development on commercial lines, still there is signifi- cant gap between demand and supply of poultry prod- ucts. The Pakistan forces fired mortars and other weapons in an unprovoked ceasefire violation. The Indian Army is giving a measured response, sources say. This comes on a day when Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire viola- tion in Rampur sector of Bar- amulla. “On June 12, in the morning hours, Pakistan in- itiated an unprovoked cease- fire violation along the LoC in Rampur sector of district Bar- amulla by firing mortars and other weapons,” the defence spokesperson said. Pakistan has been repeatedly violating ceasefire along the Line of Control in bordering districts of Jammu and Kash- mir over the past few weeks. A man from Kalakote tehsil of Rajouri dis- trict, who was admitted for a head injury, tested COVID-19 positive, and died at Govern- ment Medical College (GMC) Jammu. Reporting its first COVID-19 death at the twin-border districts of Poonch-Rajouri, the state’s death toll stands at 53. “First COVID-19 death from Rajouri district. A person from Sial Sui tested +Ve at GMC Jammu and admitted there died this morning”, Thakur Sher Singh, Depu- ty Commissioner, Rajouri tweeted. Reports said, that the 65-year- old Rajouri man died at GMC, Jammu, 10 days after he tested COVID-19 positive. The man was admitted on June 1 with a head injury and was undergo- ing treatment at GMC. On June 2, the man tested COVID-19 pos- itive and was moved to an isola- tion ward. They, however, added that the government was yet to give its nod to this proposal for pilgrimage to the 3,880-me- tre high holy cave shrine in south Kashmir. “Works section of Shri Amar- nath Shrine Board awaits a nod from the government to leave for Baltal to undertake track maintenance that leads to the cave shrine from where this year’s Yatra shall be al- lowed”, they added. It has also been decided that barring the sadhus, pilgrims above 55 years of age will not be allowed to undertake the yatra. The yatra, as stated above, will follow the shorter Baltal route and the longer route from Pahalgam will not be used this year for the pil- grimage. “It will be regulated in view of the pandemic and all those undertaking the Yatra must possess Covid-19 negative cer- tificates. Jammu. Reporting its first COVID-19 death at the twin-border districts of Poonch-Rajouri, the state’s death toll stands at 53. “First COVID-19 death from Rajouri district. A person from Sial Sui tested +Ve at GMC Jammu and admitted there died this morning”, Thakur Sher Singh, Depu-ty Commissioner, Rajouri tweeted.

Reports said, that the 65-year-old Rajouri man died at GMC, Jammu, 10 days after he tested COVID-19 positive. The man was admitted on June 1 with a head injury and was undergo-ing treatment at GMC. On June 2, the man tested COVID-19 pos-itive and was moved to an isola-tion ward.

Jammu, June 12 : The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday announced summer vacations in the summer zone and winter zone of Jammu. The vacations in summer zone schools will start from June 15 to July 15 whereas in winter zone from July 6 to July 15.Though the students are al-ready at home due to the clo-sure of schools due to COV-ID-19 breakout, the School Education Department of J&K has issued an order to announce summer vacations for summer and winter zones of the Jammu division. Jammu, June 12 : Only 2,000 pilgrims are likely to be al-lowed per day for Amarnath Yatra during the curtailed season between July 21 and August 3 this year via the shorter Baltal route due to threats posed by coronavi-rus pandemic, said officials of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB).They, however, added that the government was yet to give its nod to this proposal for pilgrimage to the 3,880-me-tre high holy cave shrine in south Kashmir.“Works section of Shri Amar-nath Shrine Board awaits a

The yatra, as stated above, will follow the shorter Baltal route and the longer route from Pahalgam will not be used this year for the pil-grimage.“It will be regulated in view of the pandemic and all those undertaking the Yatra must possess Covid-19 negative cer-tificates.
