II an optional skirt is used on a corner bath, additional support isnecessary in the lront of the unit. Measure the height from the floor tothe underside of the bath rim. Cut two 2" x 4" studs, apply adhesiveto both ends and install (see roughing in reference).

Position the outer face of the 3/4" x 3/4" x 48"L nail strip on thefloor per the distance "X" from the stud (see illustration and chartbelow), Center the strip over the length of the bath. Drain InformationA drain/overflow assembly must be installed on the bath. water
lested, and connected to the sanitary system of the house. Atteropening the carton. inspect for damage and verify that the kit is of theproper finish. In the Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath drain/overllow kit, notethat the waste flange. strainer, overllow cover and cover screws arepackaged in a separate package within the kit to protect the trim linish. Follow the installation instructions provided with the drain/overflow kit
NOTE: Watertight installation of the drain is the installer's responsibility. Drain leakage is excluded from the Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath warranty of this product.

Clean-Up After InstallationTo avoid dulling and scratching the surlace 01 the bath, never use
abrasive cleaners. A mild liquid detergent and warm water will cleansoiled surfaces.
Remove spilled plaster with a wood or plastic edge. Metal toolswill scratch the surface. Spots left by plaster ar grout can be removedillightly rubbed with detergent on a damp cloth or sponge.
Paint, tar, or other difficult stains can be removed with paint thinner, turpentine, or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
Minor scratches which do not penetrate the color linish can beremoved by lightly sanding with 6OO-grit weVdry sandpaper. You canrestore the glossy linish to the acrylic surlace 01 the bath with a spe·cial compound, Meguiar's #10 Mirror Glaze. 11 that is not available,use automotive rubbing compound lollowed by an application of automotive paste wax.
Major scratches and gouges which penetrate the acrylic surlacewill require relinishing. Ask your Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath dealer lorspecial instructions.

Controlling Whirlpool ActionThe whirlpool action in your bath is influenced by three factors
direction of flow. force of water, and force of air. All baths manufactured by Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath are equipped with fully adjustablePowerPro" jels, which are adjustable for all three factors. Some bathshave additional directionally adjuslable jels which can be adjusted fordirection and flow of air only.
Direction: To change the direction of the water flOW, swivel the jelnozzle to lhe desired angle. The jets can be directed individuallytoward any location on your body to provide a hydromassage. Thejets can also be adjusted so thai they all poinl in the same direction(clockwise or counterclockwise) to circulate the water in a circularmotion around the bath, causing a total whirlpool effect.
Water Force: The high volume, fully adjustable jels can be adjusted to control the force of the water coming into the bath. Forrobust action. increase the force of the flow by rotating lhe jet handles10 the lell (counterclockwise). For a more gentle ellect. rotale thehandles to lhe right (clockwise). Never run the whirlpool systemwith all the jets closed.
Force of Air: Two knobs localed on the bath serve as controls forthe air induction system. The intensity of the hydromassage whirlpool action is determined by the amount of air inducted into the water.As lhe amount of air is increased. the hydromassage action increases.For maximum air induction. rotate the control knobs fully counterclockwise to the largest circles. For fewer air bubbles, decrease theamount of air induction by rotating the conlrol knob clockwise. WhenIhe knobs are turned to the smallest circles. only water is being circulated.

LampSome baths come equipped with an underwater lamp. An op
lionallamp kit is available from your Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath dealer lorinstallation on your bath. If your bath is so equipped, filters of variouscolors are provided. To change the filler, simply pull the filler off thefining and replace it with another filter of the desired color.
A replacement bulb is also included. Put it in a safe place forfuture use. When the bulb burns out, replace it from the back of thelamp fining. on the underside of the shell, by pulling oul the bulb receptacle. Replacement bulbs (#912, 12V 12W) are available fromyour Jacuzzi WhirlfX>Ol Bath dealer.

Setting the ThermostatThe thermostat adjustment knob is located on the front of the
heater (see illustration below). Turn the knob to the desiredtemperature. II the water temperature reaches a level higher thanyou wish. turn the thermostat knob back to a lower setting. When thewater temperature reaches the temperature set on the thermostat,the heater will turn off automatically.
Once you have determined the desired selling on the thermostatknob. It is not necessary to change or readjust it again during normaloperation unless you decide on a difterent selling.
Indicator LightThis light turns on when the heater is operating. The indicator
light can be viewed through your unit's service access.
Vacuum SwitchThe heater is equipped with a preset vacuum switch which wiil
not allow the heater to turn ON it the pump is not running with water1I0wing through the whirlpool system,
High-Limit SwitchThe heater includes an exclusive High-Limit switch. This safety
circuit will not talse trip from hot tap water. It will only turn oft theheater if the thermostat lails. To reset, press the bUllon. II the highlimit trips Irequently. contact your dealer.
Before installing electrical connection, inspect the heater nameplate and determine if you have a 120 VAG or a 240 VAG unit. Installa separate 120 VAG 15 AMP or 240 VAC f 5 AMP dedicated circuitwith GFGI protection. With a 118 solid copper wire, bond the heater tothe house electrical panel or approved local bond. A bonding lug isprovided on the heater,
At initial start-up and belore each use thereafter with power ON,push the GFGltesl bunon. The reset bunon should pop auf. Pushthis butfon in to reset. If the interrupter fails to operate in this manner,there is a ground current flowing or a device mat/unction, indicatingthe possibility 01 electrical shock. Turn off power and do not usethe bath until the source 01 the problem has been identified andcorrected.

INSTALLATION & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: Read complete instructions before beginning installation.Your bath heater has been specifically designed to enhance the enjoyment of your whirlpool bath. Once the bath
is filled with hot water, the temperature is maintained at your selected setting by the heater's thermostat.Your unit is totally self contained to ensure trouble free installation and operation. As with all electrical devices,
certain safety precautions should be taken during installation and operation.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSWarning - Risk of injury: Children, the elderly, and the infirm should not use the bath unless they are supervised
at all times. Infants should not be permitted in the bath at water temperatures over 1QO°F (38°C). We recommendthe use of a medical (clinical) thermometer for an accurate measurement of bath temperature.
Bath water temperatures in excess of 104°F are not recommended. High water temperatures in excess of 104°F(40°C) and prolonged periods of use can raise internal human body temperature excessively and impair the body'sability to regulate its internal temperature.
Pregnant women and people with heart circulatory problems, or diabetes, should consult their physicians beforeusing the bath at water temperatures over 100°F (38°C).
Limit your initial use of the bath to 10 -15 minutes. High body temperatures affect people differently; consult yourphysician about your safety and comfort before using the bath.
Extra care should be taken when using the bath and consuming alcoholic beverages or certain medications, suchas tranquilizers. These can affect a person's ability to withstand high temperatures and may produce dangerouseffects, including drowning. Persons using medication should consult with a physician before using a heated bath.
INSTALLATIONTo Install Heater
Locate the 2" plumbing line from the suction fitting to the pump. Cut out a 10-1/2" long piece and discard. If thesuction line to your pump is less than 2" in diameter, it will be necessary to add two adapter fittings and cut the pipelength to fil. Remove burrs and any debris. Unscrew both fittings from the ends of the heater. Cement these fittingsonto the cut off pipe ends using flexible PVC cement. With the gaskefs in place. reassemble the fittings to the heater.
After installing the in-line heater, added support forthe suction line must be provided. If your bath unit has an anchor,you may use either a cable tie for support or a wood block cut to fit and positioned under the suction line as shown.If the unit does not have an anchor, the wood block must be used. The suction line should slope evenly from the pumpto the suction fitting so the pump line will drain.
