I have been pastor at Queens and Fatima since 2010. Before that, I served as Pastor of Holy Redeemer in Burton, Most Holy Trinity in Fowler and Parochial Vicar of St. Gerard, Lansing. I also worked as a high school chaplain at Flint Powers and was proud to serve as a Past State Chaplain for the Michigan Knights of Columbus. The youngest of six and raised in Flint, I am proud to say there are three priests in the MacDonald family! My brother Fr. Eben is a pastor in Los Angeles and Fr. Adam is the vocation director for the Divine Word Missionaries. I look forward to working with the fellow members of the Board and with all of you in making our voices heard in and around Jackson, in defense of those who cannot defend themselves. This is our time - with the fate of a presidential election and the future of our Supreme Court hanging in the balance, now is not the time for us to sit on the sidelines. Rather, answering the call to discipleship and the Gospel of Life, we are more motivated than ever to conduct this fall's Life Chain and 40 Days for Life Campaign, close the Planned Parenthood clinic on West Michigan Avenue, and elect leaders who hear not only our cries for justice, but especially the silent scream of those aborted children who never saw the light of day because our nation failed to see the light of God's love and protect every human life from natural conception to natural death. God bless you and may God bless and protect the unborn. Right to Life of Michigan Applauds Governor Snyder for Signing CAPA On June 8 th , Governor Snyder signed into law HB 4787 and HB 4830, the Coercive Abortion Prevention Act (CAPA). The Legislation will help stop coerced abortions from happening in Michigan. RLM President Barbara Listing said, “This wonderful news marks the end of a decade-long journey to stop coerced abortions, an everyday occurrence in Michigan.” CAPA adds to Michigan’s current anti-extortion/coercive provisions by including coercion to abort as a specific crime and establish penalties. Listing said, “The abortion industry has profited from thousands of women who never chose to have an abortion. It’s time for that to end.” Father Timothy MacDonald 2016-2017 Chaplain Jackson Right To Life

Right to Life of Michigan Applauds Governor Snyder for Signing CAPA

On June 8th, Governor Snyder signed into law HB 4787 and HB 4830, the Coercive Abortion Prevention Act (CAPA). 40 Days for Life – 5th year for Greater Jackson

1

This fall the Jackson community joins hundreds of thousands of people in 30 countries in peaceful witness to end the atrocity of abortion. 40 Days for Life is a campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism. Its purpose is repentance, seeking God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life and bring an end to abortion.

For 12 hours daily from September 28 through November 6, we'll gather at Planned Parenthood (PP), 2009 West Michigan Avenue (across from Westwood

2

Mall), to offer prayer to end abortion and raise a culture of life in Jackson County.

For the past three years more than 500-individuals from churches, families and groups from many denominations have united around this pro-life focus.

If you want to take action, this effort works! Since the first campaign in 2007, 11,796 lives have been saved from abortion,133 abortion workers have quit, and 73 abortion facilities have closed.

YOU will help us reach our goal of 1000

The Salter family has been blessed with a very special gift, as Jesus has called them to care for their thirteen-year-old daughter. Meghan has an undiagnosed medical condition, which renders her unable to breathe, eat or move on her own. She has been on life support for the past 13 years. Through it all Meghan has been an incredible blessing to
