Our marque 1.0

Our new marque has been specifically designed to project a modern, accessible and customer-focused organisation.

Please help us to maintain this consistent image by using onlythe approved master artwork which is available from Jackie Feeney or Hilary Pook in the Communications Team.

There are 2 variations in the suit of marques, they are:A. The general marqueB. The initial marque a shortened

variation of the marque, using our initials together with the words ‘Advice Team’ and our ‘telephone number’.

The variations 2.0to the general and initial marque

Our new marque is our primaryvisual asset and therefore should be handled with consistency andcare so that it is used correctly.

The two marques are primarily typographicsolutions but are fixed in format.Whenever possible, each marque shouldideally appear in the 4 or 2 colour spot variation, with the black+tone, blackonly and the white out of black (WOB,this only appears in an eps format) variations used in monochrome printing.

All the marques presented in this document are available from theCommunications Team.Using the approved marque will help to avoid incorrect usage.

The marque should sit in as much white space as possible to give maximumimpact. It is important to keep the marque clear of any other graphic elements which might interfere or detract from the marque itself.This exclusion zone indicates the closest any other graphic element can be positioned in relation to the marque.

White space The minimum requirement should be by using the cap’M’ around the marque as a guide on the optimum size of 94mm (A) and 44mm (B) respectively.LGO 4 col LGE 94.eps and LGO CAPS 4 col LGE 44.eps

Minimum sizeTo achieve the best possible clarity it is advised that each marque is never seen smallerthan the sizes shown.

In exceptional circumstances, the marque may need to be used at smaller size that theminimum size i.e. for badges and promotional material. In the event of these situations,please use the marque as large as possible, if you are in any doubt, seek the advice fromthe Communications Team.

Our typeface 5.0

The typeface preferred for all external uses is Bliss. It is a strong,robust typeface with good clarityand also comes with a wide rangeof variations.

These are:

A. Bliss lightThis typeface should be used for all main body copy.

B. Bliss RegularThis typeface should be used to createemphasis in headings and where text has to be reversed white out of a solid background colour.

C. Bliss MediumThis typeface is used to create emphasis ie, secondary text within the main text framework.

D. Bliss BoldThis typeface is used to create emphasis within the main title and used in conjunction with Bliss medium.
