Our objective for the newsletter is to make it fun to
read and to inform our neighbors about the fun things
happening in the community.
We expect to have a lot of human-interest stories
about our residents in the neighborhood. We have a lot
of diversity in our community, and want to highlight
that in every way. We also want to make it informative
so we will provide who to call and for what and it will
be provided from our HOA group.

We will not get into any HOA issues; just any basic info and help that you need.We also would love
for kids to be a big part of the newsletter. We want kids to have a voice in our community, especially
now that they won’t have much, if any, face to face interactions in a classroom.
Please, don’t be afraid to critique and suggest what you would like to see in future newsletters- it’s
our goal to have as much input as possible and we hope it’s something you look forward to read
every month!!!! Kind of like the Sunday paper (does anyone still get one?).
Please reach out if you have a fun story to share or would like to
be involved!

One afternoon in early June, Isaw a Landmark email from Stacyrequesting volunteers to helpform a committee to reopen ourbeloved pool.
Our board needed help developing amitigation and scheduling strategy to meet localCounty and State guidelines to reopen the pool incompliance. Access to the pool for both myself, and my wife, Kristen, have been, and continue toremain, a very big draw to our community. Additionally, I know how important it was to ourfellow community members.
Drawing on my marketing background, I threwmy name in the hat and about 72 hours later wehad a rough version of the site you find yourselfusing today.
We quickly identified that volunteers would beneeded due to insurance limitations by poolmonitor providers, and that any site would needcontact tracing via a scheduling platform.
Since taking on that project, I've had otherideas (including this newsletter you’rereading now) to bring additional value to ourcommunity and bring us closer together.
My sincere hope was that the websitewould only be needed for a few more weeks,or maybe a couple of months. As the summercomes to a close, and as many of youundoubtedly have come to realize, thethreats posed by COVID-19 are by no meansgoing to go away anytime soon.
As businesses and facilities around the stateprepare to reopen, I hope the need for thepool scheduling will go away. Despite thathope, it is my intent to still provide the bestlevel of service I can to our community.
As you continue to use what I regard as aBETA version of our website, please don'thesitate to reach out with any problems, concerns or issues that you may experiencevia the “Submit Support Ticket” tab on thesite.(continued next page)

This fall when the pool closes for the summer, my goal is to upgrade the site’sfunctionality. Regardless of whether next spring requires scheduling, I also hope thatthe site will remain a long-lasting asset to our community. If you have anysuggestions please click the link HERE for a brief survey. This survey will providefeedback directly to me on the website and ideas that you have to better improve it inthe future. Once the pool season concludes, I will shut down the site and rebuild abetter version incorporating some of your suggestions.
Thank you for subscribing to our newsletter. And a very big thank you to thecountless hours Kristen Zellmer and all the pool volunteers have spent volunteering toallow us to be one of the only community pools to remain open. Also a shout out toour board members for having the courage to open up when many of our fellowcommunity pools and other associations didn't want to deal with the processesinvolved to meet local opening requirements. And thank you MKV for yourunderstanding, patience, and participation in the processes we’ve laid out…Thanks toall of MKV for giving us our pool this summer!

Stacy Longley joined the Landmark Limited
team in early 2016 after a rewarding sixteen
years working with community associations in
the collection of delinquent assessments. Stacy
worked directly with board members and
community managers, but little prepared her
for the reality and daily life of a property
manager. What appeared to be a natural
transition from the niche collection industry to
the broader scope of management, was
anything but. This misnomer has been Stacy’s
comic relief; working with associations is just in
her blood.
Who isStacy?
In 2018, Landmark Limited was awarded the
management contract for a beautiful, new build
community in East Sacramento, known as
McKinley Village. It has been two years since
Stacy began working in the Village and has
grown and changed with the community and
neighbors.
Born and raised in Roseville, Stacy moved her
family to Lincoln in 2004, when she bought a
home (yes, you guessed it!) in a homeowners
association. After working with associations for
a number of years, she still bought a home in an
association- crazy? Nope!
What does Stacy do in her spare time? Stacy
enjoys the water (from beach, pier or poolside),
the sting of the sun after fishing all day, family
around the patio table while BBQing and
having a cold one. Her favorite music genre is
country and her favorite band is a cover band,
The Corduroys.
Stacy’s Philosophy: As life changes, our daily
world changes, likes and hobbies also change;
still exploring.
Work: today’s most challenging homeowner is
tomorrow’s board member and how you treat
them determines your success.
Personal: try not to do things you have to
apologize for, to begin with, but do not
withhold a sincere apology when and where it is
due.
"As life changes, our daily world changes, likes and hobbies also change; stillexploring."

My Mom and Dad and some friends decided because we would not be going to real school
in the fall, we would start what my parents told me we call, a “teaching pod.”
Because my Mom teaches high school, she knew a teacher who would lead us every
morning till we started going to school online.
They set it up so my brother Isaac could be part of it and he is a kindergartener and I’m
going into second grade. We then have two other families with the kids who are my friends
that I like a lot.
Each week we have our classes at one of our families’ backyard. We all wear masks and
make sure we are far apart…at least 6 feet.
Our classes last all morning, we bring our own lunch, and then in the afternoon, we have
some free time and get to all play together.
We all really love it though we miss all our friends from our real school. We will start on
regular classes from our own schools in the next few days.Would be fun to hear what other
kids are doing who live in McKinley Village!
