The 2010 Reading defined this year connected with the Odu: Ose Ogunda. With 3 key Orisa to align with:
Esu - Ancestors - Ogun. We learned that it is a year about exploring new ways of creating & preparing for greater opportunities that lie ahead. We saw that it was through gaining a sharper focus on what was spiritually & emotionally most important in our value structure (FAMILY BEING FIRST) that we
would be most successful. Now that we have just crossed into the second half of the year and review how we have been moving through the first half...what have we gained? What else do we need to be curious about looking into during our everyday life? And do we feel we are prepared for whatever the Universe brings? Can we take it on? The Ifa Foundation offers you personal divination sessions as well as great Workshops that bring you more knowledge & experiences so that you can become more empowered & prepared.
Iya’s Corner...The latest on what the Universe has brought to share.
I read myself where the Oracle read so many before, in Delphi. Indications were that my Desinty
path was Otura Meji. Recharging...replenishing and reconnecting!
The first half of this year I spent sharing in so many people’s journey that came to the Ifa
Foundation to enhance their life. With the help of an incredible Ifa Team...I was able to engage in
hundreds of people’s New Year Ebbo’s so they could align 2010. I was able to build the new Aje garden for Wealth & Prosperity as well as a whole new giant garden for Osun. We not only
opened up a new garden for the “protection” energy of Sigidi ; we were able launch the super structure of the latest work in progress...Ela. And let’s not forget about finishing a year long
project to get the Phoenix bird completed and installed inside a giant firepit ring. During which
we put together two very successful Workshops; Initiated over 25 people into Orisa and Ifa levels; put on a huge festival on May 1st ; performed sheddings & Ori’s for over a dozen people; divined
for over 150 in the evenings and made all sorts of spiritual tools. July was the recharge time.
In February, one of my dreams came true. I had a special request from Darq-Amber to celebrate
her 16th year of life...by going to Greece and connecting with her ancestral roots. We performed
divination for the trip (got the go ahead) and began making plans to be there in early July for 10
days. I have devoted a great deal of this column to the experiences that our two energies (Ogun
and Yemonja/Olokun, both Iya’s and both Nana’s) were able to create. What opened and what was revealed was substantial. Not only did our personal shape expand but so did our relationship as mother/teacher and daughter/apprentice. Daily life in our home avails us certain levels of connecting...adding a new environment from time to time creates other opportunities for more.
Nurturing ourselves, as we spent a great deal of our time positioned between the luxurious blue Aegean Sea
and the wise old mountain
rocks (many with ancient faces revealing themselves)Our hearts truly opened
with each ritual we did. An
amazing thing happened
in the shallow water...fish
came right up to Darq for her to pet them. I really
enjoyed the feelings I got when we both had our
new matching silver anklets on...standing in shallow water watching the sunset...there was a current of energy that flowed between us that amplified who we each were while at the same time we were able to see all
these amazing “orbs” around the sun. So many shapes were forming.
The pyramid scheme really paid off for us! What do you get when you bring two old souls together that are two generations of Iyanifa’s and Nana girls...stacked on top of generations of medicine women ??? Answer: a multitude of moments where just what you needed...showed up! And at the
exact moment that benefited us most! Ase. Here are a few stories about what the Universe provided
my daughter, Darq-Amber & myself while in Greece.
Arriving with just a few Euro’s in hand; a Friday afternoon & a weekend
of great eating and shopping ahead...I really needed a Greek bank. When we finally found one, the closing time was in 10 minutes and not reopening until Monday. In a rush to get inside and no parking space in sight..all of a sudden this old man pulls up on his motorbike to pitch us on his room for rent in his house. We kindly let him know we were already booked in
somewhere & that our focus was on getting some Euro’s for the weekend. He pointed down the hillside to where a parking space was and aid he would
take me up the hill to the bank immediately. With only 5 minutes left...I really had to make a decision fast...I laughed and said...:Orunmila you are something else to bring such an opportunity”. I hopped on whie Darq-Amber agreed to follow on foot. It was the funniest & quickest ride of my
life. It was if we flew there. There was a moment of fear but realized it was what the Universe provided,so I must trust. All worked out perfectly of
course. I went into the bank just 2 minutes before closing & got my Euros.
Not alot of parking around here!
This was story is quite funny too. We decided to go out in the middle of no-where, at sunset and photograph this old deserted Fort. Darq took off around one of the high walls with camera in hand while I combed through another side when I began hearing a man’s voice coming from underground. He was speaking to someone else that was also down there. My senses said...possible danger...get Darq and let’s go. Just then, these two incredibly elegant women, dressed for an afternoon tea appear asking me if I had been inside the Chiseled Church. Together, we found this little doorway down into a cave inside the mountain. And here is what we saw....a group of elderly people inside... praying !
“Money and the Motorbike”
“The Chiseled Church”
The entrance The old altars (still intact) inside this ancient secret treasure box.
Individuals that were kept at the Fort must not have been free to pray their own
way...so they carved into
the stone their own sacred
space hidden from others.
Papu’s Church & The Prayers in the Stone Floor Picture Darq & I alone in this tiny 1800’s church...
holding our lit dripless wax-colored tapered candles while sitting in the carved wood benches that have lined the walls over hundred years. The 20 X 20 room
was dimly lit by lanterns hanging from a painted
domed ceiling...with a muted recording of Greek chants playing while we sat eyes wide open. This was our posture for seeing what was behind the veil that separated this day from days gone by. I immediately
knew I must remove my shoes and allow my feet to
absorb the prayers of those that tread upon this stone before me. I could sense the years of daily prayers that expressed the gratitude for all that they had in
their lives while at the same time praying for strength in assisting their loved ones that needed a
healing of some sort. I could feel their need and their hopes for the blessings to arrive in time. Amazing!
Rituals of washing your face, head and
feet prior to
entering the sacred
space inside. Makes sense, right !
The Church was surrounded
by an old garden with old
benches filled with memories of people sitting and sharing their concerns as well as their love for one another.
Another mother & daughter arrived during our time there & we watched the rituals they performed on
the altars set up. We found out a few interesting things...the Mom (85-90) has never left this village her whole life . I thought how she may have had a
family member that prayed their with my Papu.
I always thought that home would be where I responded to the plant-life. It amazed me to see that where I live now has the same plants that live where my ancestors lived in Greece (weather was the same
temperature, less humid. We are minus mountains but we share the big water energy surrounding us.
Check out the plants around where you are living...are they part of what you consider home in your heart?
Right outside our bedroom was this wonderful apricot tree filled with
perfectly ripe fruit. Some went inside our tummies while others became offerings to the Orisa & Ancestors.
Plants were used for shading all the time. Modern times are creeping into the little villages and those old timers that handcrafted everything could more likely be the last generation...their children are off in colleges in the bigger cities...educating to be able to make bigger career choices. They are moving on. Hopefully they will keep the core values of how plants can heal and how they
special the simple things in life truly are. Hopefully
they will honor their ancestors as their parents did.
I continually saw the similarities of Ifa and the Greek culture. From the honoring of the ancestors with remarkable
elegant shrines to the protection
amulets at every doorway and
rooftop corner. From the herbal remedies and the usages of all
the plants growing before them.
From all the powerful nature forces being honored with special rituals to the way they taking
care of their families... generations after generations. Each culture had a potent
divination system in place too.
A really incredible feeling comes over you when you are in the presence of this 600
year old tree growing in the gardens of my favorite
monastery.
One’s mind can create so many
scenarios of what happened
when you came to Delphi for a
reading! The diviners were women and the men did the sacrifices for preparation.
Sharing a top view of Delphi...in all it’s majesty...some think it is hard to get to
Florida. How did so many get way up here in these mountain ranges?
Check out the Octopus on the boat...it had the words...the alternative ride!
Here is a big Oke rock...what a old
bold face to
connect in with.
Check the flying red object on the

Arriving in August...our eldest son, Josh. A devoted Babalawo! Our family Ifa Team just got bigger. Josh ; his Obatala wife; Little Jack, (a
very devoted Babalawo) and his baby
sister Lucy are all coming to live in
Florida and help with all the new
things the Foundation is engaged in.
We have so many new things to share in so many new ways... so keep opening your emails to see.
Connecting oneself with the special energies of our Ancestors is really important. We have been working with these great staffs with faces carved into them of old wise men...wrapped
with tiny bells and special herbs inside the base. Tapping one on the Earth’s surface ignites vibrational levels that enhance what you can see, hear and feel. We are just starting
to offer them to you.
So many wonderful changes are occurring that will bring a whole new dimension to our
lives. Get your life ready for action.
The reading for the year will continue to unfold, and we all must concentrate
on Family, Esu and Ancestors. It's a good time to have a reading to see
where you stand in the flow. There are now three skilled members of our family
to read you: The Oluwo, Myself and Josh (now initiated over 18 years)
Finally, check out her brand new Facebook page... a product of Josh's new energy infusion. You can find it by searching: Ifa Foundation in Facebook. It's very interactive. Please friend us :-))
Remember: IT DOESN'T WORK IF YOU DON'T WORK AT IT!
