The ItPA, Italian proteomics Association, has been particularly focused in the lastyears in providing a common framework of exchange between the fast advancingchallenges in the Human Proteomics field and the non-Human - ComparativeProteome investigations. The interaction between these two different worlds hasalready produced the first actual Proteomics CE-IVD products for the health-caremarket, the MALDI-Biotyper and its twin products. We have followed severalinitiatives in this light since 2011 organizing several events dedicated toProteomics in global health. In particular in collaboration with different EuropeanCommission of Science and Technologies (COST) actions the perspective ofnovel Proteomics technological advances have been explored in this field. TheCOST BM1403 co-organized scientific sessions and educational programs are aclear example of integration of the challenging field of Native Mass Spectrometrywith the Proteomics community at large. Moreover the Imaging MassSpectrometry session will present the work of the COST BM 1104 advancementin this highly innovative field on the verge of the clinical health-care application. With this Congress we openly aim to provide an agora for clinical proteomicsinvestigations and non-human proteome studies, bringing into the discussion therole of Proteomics in the One-Health vision. This will be the leitmotiv of the EuPAscientific program which will be following the C-HPP workshop inside theEXPO2015. This unique condition will open to the proteomics community anunprecedented window to possibly communicate to the society the fundamentaladvancements of Proteomics research. So, we are greatly honored and pleased to welcome you in the prestigiuoslocation of University of Milano, and hope that you will enjoy the Congress.
