“TONY OPOSA INTERGENERATIONAL MOOT COURT” Presentation begins, 2d Floor Courtroom

Description: Oral submissions by law students from around the world to distinguished judges and academics sitting as a mock panel of the International Court of Justice. The Court will hear a request for an advisory opinion on the question of the responsibility of states under international law to address the global climate crisis for the benefit of present and future generations. Oral arguments will be video-taped and edited for presentation and discussion at the “ICJ4ICJ Workshop” #9695, scheduled at the IUCN Congress on Monday, September 5, 8:30 am – 10:30 am, Room 310 (all registered IUCN Congress participants are encouraged to attend this Workshop). The September 1 Oral Argument and the September 5 Workshop will feature a panel of international environmental academics and jurists, and the voices of future generations as represented by law students and their faculty coaches from the Philippines, France, Brazil, South Korea, and the United States (New York & Hawaiʻi). 1:30: Welcome & Introduction: David Forman (Director, Environmental Law Program, William S.
