Performance Notes
This song was written and arranged by Bob "Diz" Disney in 1977 as an opener for his quartet, B&O Connection. "Diz" has been a Barbershopper for over 50 years, and he sang lead in many great quartets. B&O Connection won a third place medal in 1979. Among his other songs is Riding the Railroad. It's a Brand New Day is a straightforward rhythm song with an uplifting key change and an exciting tag. It makes a great show opener. An alternate tag is provided for those who find the original too high.
