It’s unbelievable how much has changed since last year’s event! What a different world we live in now. Greenwood has done its best to stay resilient as we adapt to all the adversity, keeping our commitment of being there for the wildlife that depend on us.

We were so grateful for being considered an essential organization and able to stay open during COVID-19. Our animal care protocols as well as our procedures involving staff, volunteers and interns have constantly evolved as the number of animals has swelled during our busy season. Our Thrift Shop and Consignment Gallery, major sources of revenue, were temporarily closed and are now operating with limited hours.

But Greenwood is nothing if not resourceful! We have risen to the challenge time and time again, while acknowledging that many people have endured life changes much worse than those we’ve experienced.

We couldn’t have made it through these tough times without one of our most important resources, supporters like you! Thanks in advance for bidding and donating tonight! We need your help now more than ever.

Heads and Tails Game — Win $400 in Gift Cards to Target

This fun, fast-paced game takes place before the live auction, no standing required since we’re virtual this year. You’ll purchase the Heads/Tails package on the mobile bidding site (same place as the silent auction) for $25 per player. The auctioneer will ask everyone who’s participating to raise their hand (in the bottom left corner) in the Zoom Webinar during the live program and type their choice of “Heads” or “Tails” in the Chat area. We will review all of this during the live program! If two of you are playing on one bid number, enter two choices in “Chat” (tip: use both “Heads” and “Tails” so at least one of you will progress to the next round!).

Our auctioneer will flip a coin and announce the results. If you chose incorrectly, you are out — lower your hand on Zoom. If you chose correctly, keep your hand raised on Zoom and again, type in Chat “Heads” or “Tails.” Wait for the flip. The game is repeated until all participants are eliminated except for the last person standing — our winner! The $25 charge will be reflected on your auction invoice.

Handcrafted Sea-themed QuiltDo you adore quilts? It will be love at first sight when you see this beautiful, hand-made quilt featuring a sea theme. Artist Amy Rullkoetter created her first quilt when she was in second grade and became a serious quilter in 1996 when she needed a bed covering. The time she spent in Singapore as a child inspired the design of this quilt, which took 2,000 hours to produce. Approximately 62" x 70".
