AppCenter streamlines initial configuration with simple input for service accounts. AppCenter discovers datacenter resources that are used to deploy infrastructure and applications. Within minutes AppCenter is configured on top of private, public and hybrid clouds and is ready to create Application Stacks.  

Delivering Enterprise Application Delivering  an  Enterprise  Application  includes:  • Automatic  sizing  to  the  match  requested  size  • OS  Configuration  • Naming entities as per tenant’s naming convention    • Static  IP address assignment from IPAM Pools • Additional storage volumes created and mounted • Registering DNS in the IPAM and Active Directory • Injection of users SSH key for remote access on Linux • Running SysPrep to configure the Windows VM. • Adding VM to AD based on users’ group. • Bootstrapping VMs with agents and config mgmt tools • Attaching  shared  services  to  the  applications.

Users login into the AppCenter using their single sign-on credentials and self-serve the IT services that they have been granted access to. Users can track the services that they requested and see the details from the system. They can start, stop, and when done de-provision their applications and workloads.

Blueprint Orchestrator AppCenter provides a drag and drop application blueprinting tool. With the state of the art modeling capabilities, workflows are auto generated from the blueprints. Blueprinting tool exposes generated workflows for additional customization if required. Blueprint orchestrator provides a centralized automation and API engine for the entire AppCenter Private Cloud ecosystem. Orchestrator enables automation of any element of the Private Cloud through resource blocks and API connectors. These resource blocks are combined into Blueprints that can be triggered on demand. AppCenter supports multiple configuration management tools including CHEF, Ansible, SSH, PowerShell etc. It also specifies application configuration requirements, such as topology, networks, storage, SLAs, scale-out rules etc.

IP Address Management Customers who use spreadsheets to manage IP addresses can now use AppCenter’s built-in IPAM tool manage the IP addresses. While provisioning VMs, AppCenter will pick up and allocate available IP address. At de-provision, it will release the IP address back to the pool. AppCenter also integrates with IPAM tools such as InfoBlox. Application Catalog Enterprises can build their own application store with starter catalog from ITapp and its partners. Application catalog can be exported and imported back on to any other instance of AppCenters like Dev-Test-Prod.

IT governance – permissions, quota, lease, approvals Users and groups are granted access to granular controls over IT services, networks, and clusters/hosts to deploy their IT services. IT can reduce waste by asking the consumers for the lease duration for the service. They can then set up lease policy to take actions when IT service is terminated. IT can also set up the system to require approval for users to consume certain IT services.

Usage reports and show-back IT management can get usage reports across variety of services and across variety of resources by different groups and organizations. User is shown the cost of the requested IT service at the time of ordering. Users track the services that they have requested. They can stop or de-provision the services that are no longer in use; thus saving valuable IT resources.

Software Bundle The AppCenter software is OVA appliance, which is loaded on to any hypervisor platform.

Fault Tolerance and Reliability The AppCenter is built to support HA with active-active cluster.
