1. Italy Highlight: The Medieval City of Siena 2. Has areas declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its cobblestone streets, art and beautiful cityscape. Siena 3. Siena is composed of 17 districts, each with their own symbol, colors, flag and churches. Each clan is known as Contrada. 4. The main square of Siena that functions as a marketplace, meeting place and popular hangout in the city center. Piazza del Campo 5. One of the most beautiful fountains in Siena. Carved by Jacopo della Querica between 1409 and 1419. Fonte Gaia 6. An 88 meter tower that is the perfect vantage point for photo ops. Its name is taken from the first tower keeper, the mangia-guadagni. Torre de Mangia 7. Dedicated to Our Lady of Assumption and features a beautiful faade reminiscent of Middle Ages architecture. Cathedral of Siena 8. The interior features four statues made by Michelangelo. Also includes an ornate pulpit created by Nicola Pisano. Cathedral of Siena 9. Located behind the Siena Cathedral.
