Where is the IT centre located?The IT Centre is located on the lower ground �oor, under the library in the Dublin Rd campus.

Printing Storage
How do I print in the IT Centre?Login to a PC in the IT Centre, locate your �le, select print, select B&W or Colour and simply collect you job at the nearest printer. You will need enough print credit to cover the cost of the job.
Where can I print in GMIT?Printing is available in the IT Centre and the Library, 7 printers in total on the Dublin Rd Campus. You can also print online at https://print.gmit.ie and release at any of the designated printers by logging in via the touch screen.
Where can I top up my account?There are top up kiosks located outside the IT Centre and 1 in the Library printing room.
Can I scan and photocopy?Yes, there is a dedicated multi-functioning scanner, copier and printer just outside the IT Centre and 3 in the library located on the Galway Campus.
What are the printing Costs per page?
Where can I save my �les in GMIT?GMIT uses OneDrive �le storage. OneDrive lets you store your �les in one place, share them with others, and get to them from any device connected to the Internet.
Where can I access my �les?Files on OneDrive are accessible both on and o� campus viahttps://student.gmit.ie OR http://o�ce.comFiles on OneDrive are accessible on campus when you login to any PC in the institute.

Do I have print credit?Yes, every new student gets €5 printing credit at the beginning of their �rst academic year. You can top up your account by logging into the top up kiosks located at various locations throughout GMIT. Just enter your student email address to log in and top up.

How do I access WiFi in GMIT?Select the Eduroam network.When asked for your credentialsUsername: Your GMIT email address [email protected]: The password you use for all IT resources (Not your PIN!).
What is Eduroam in GMIT? As a registered student you will have access to free wi� and use of computers at all GMIT campuses, and access to free wi� in other colleges throughout Europe via eduroam.

What is Learnonline in GMIT?Learnonline (often referred to as Moodle) is GMIT’s online learning platform. Learnonline will be used by the majority of your lecturers to deliver course material and carry out assessments.
Can I access my account o� campus?Yes, you can access most online resources such as your college email / OneDrive / Learnonline, anywhere at any time.An extra layer of security is required to login while o� campus (MFA).
How do I download Microsoft O�ce 365?All registered students can download o�ce 365 apps. Simply login to https://student.gmit.ie/ and follow the download instructions on the right.OR via https://o�ce.com and simply click on “Install O�ce”.
Your O�ce 365 account allows you to download and install the latest version of O�ce desktop applications on up to 5 devices, as well as rights to run the iPhone or Android editions of O�ce Mobile.
