How do I Login?Students login via https://student.gmit.ie/ with your GMIT student email address and your IT password.You will receive your login details to the phone number and email address you provided at registration. Your student email address will be [email protected] e.g. [email protected].

How do I change my password?Your password can be managed via the following link:http://password.gmit.ie/

How do I access my course?Login to learnonline. Search for your course and click on enrol.

Your course will then be available on your homepage.

WiFi/Eduroam

How do I access WiFi in GMIT?Select the Eduroam network.When asked for your credentialsUsername: Your GMIT email address [email protected]: The password you use for all IT resources (Not your PIN!).

What is Eduroam in GMIT? As a registered student you will have access to free wi� and use of computers at all GMIT campuses, and access to free wi� in other colleges throughout Europe via eduroam.

What if I have issues when connecting to Eduroam? If you have issues connecting to Eduroam, you may need to download the CAT installer from: https://cat.eduroam.org/ and select the GMIT installer.

What is Learnonline in GMIT?Learnonline (often referred to as Moodle) is GMIT’s online learning platform. Learnonline will be used by the majority of your lecturers to deliver course material and carry out assessments.

Can I access my account o� campus?Yes, you can access most online resources such as your college email / OneDrive / Learnonline, anywhere at any time.An extra layer of security is required to login while o� campus (MFA).

How do I download Microsoft O�ce 365?All registered students can download o�ce 365 apps. Simply login to https://student.gmit.ie/ and follow the download instructions on the right.OR via https://o�ce.com and simply click on “Install O�ce”.

Your O�ce 365 account allows you to download and install the latest version of O�ce desktop applications on up to 5 devices, as well as rights to run the iPhone or Android editions of O�ce Mobile.
