IT governance has emerged as a key imperative for organizations as several corporate failures and disasters surfaced, out of poor corporate governance as well as lack of alignment between business objectives and the IT objectives. The evolving and emerging role of technology and automation in the banking/ financial services sector is becoming increasingly complex. Increasing number of Banks/DFIs/Microfinance Banks are leveraging technology to offer innovative products, efficient services and venture into new business models, which, at the same time, gives rise to lot of risks to its stakeholders.To effectively cater to the risks of such emerging technologies, SBP has issued a comprehensive framework, “Enterprise Technology Governance & Risk Management Framework” in 2016. This workshop will help the participants to understand the core concepts/ contents of this framework, effective mechanism to implement it and the benefits, the organizations will achieve with theapplication of this framework. The workshop will help enterprise leaders understand why IT goals must align with those of the business, how IT delivers value, and how its performance is measured, its resources properly allocated and its risks mitigated and learn how to implement an IT risk management program in an organization.
