The IT DR Expert Implementer course is a comprehensive end-to-end IT DR course that covers all key aspects of planning, implementing and managing an IT DR programme for an organisation.

This set of modular courses allows professionals to complete their IT DR competency training course based on their intended pace and experience. This course is aligned to the industry’s most recognised BCM and DR standards and guidelines. Some examples of these are:

The complete DRP-5000 course builds participants in the “KNOW”, “DO” and “MANAGE” levels of competency. At the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to initiate, plan, implement and manage a DR organisation.

The Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE) certification also recognises theachievement of DR Professional who have attained a high level of competency in IT Disaster Recovery Planning and Management.

The last day of the course is a compulsory 3.5 hours qualifying DRCE examination.

At least 3-years of IT DRP experience to achieve the DRCE certification orNewly appointed IT professional to be appointed as Organization IT DR Coordinator.

The globally recognised Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE) certification is designed to equip certificate holders with the knowledge and skills to initiate, plan, implement and manage an organisation’s disaster recovery centre.

As a qualified Disaster Recovery personnel, s/he will have the skills to maintain awareness of IT DRP and BCM issues, and keep current with IT DRP and BCM practices as they evolve in the future.

DRCE applicants are required to complete and pass the qualifying DRCE examination of the IT DR Expert Implementer course.

The qualifying DRCE examination done on the last day of a DRP-5000 course is a half day 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) electronic based examination. The examination which lasts for 3.5 hours would need candidates to achieve a 75% passing grade.

Applicants who would like to apply for the DRCE certification needs to furnish BCM Institute with the DRCE certificationApplication fees of SGD150.

This can be paid via PayPal, AMEX, Cheque (drawn from a Singapore bank), Telegraphic Transfer, Bank Transfer or Cash

Once BCM Institute Certification Department has ascertain that they have received the complete DRCE application form and processing fees, application would be sent to an independent review board that would assess the applicants’ eligibility for the certification applied for. The process may take about 4 – 8 weeks before an applicant is awarded the relevant certification.

DRCE applicants should have 3 years of practical Disaster Recovery professional experience.

They should be able to demonstrate this experience via an application form that would allow them to showcase at least 1 of the BCM BoK.

The experience should be backed by 2 referees that should be the applicant’s colleagues (not subordinate), clients or superiors.

Candidates who lack the pre requisite 1-2 years’ experience may opt to apply for a specialist certification (DRCS) or a planner certification (DRCP).
