distinct.com Erik started in testing in 1996. He was employed at an ERP development company and he gained worldwide testing experience. He became one of the first ISEB Foundation certified testers in his company and became a trainer, coach and teacher in 1998. Erik is an accredited trainer for all ISEB and ISTQB Certificate training courses. He has successfully trained several hundreds of students and has achieved high pass rates.

Erik is a frequently asked trainer for other testing courses, like TMap (Next) (including certification training), Agile approaches, Cloud-testing, Process Improvement, Outsourcing. He combines his training work with assignments as a Test Manager or Test Consultant.

Hans is an experienced IT consultant with a long history in software development. His knowledge and experience over the last 15 years lie mainly in the fields of test and quality management. He has led and supported test teams with testers and end users in functional and acceptance tests in different organisations, both commercial and governmental. He has been involved in development projects and package implementations; recently, many of these project follow an Agile approach.

As co-author and general editor, he has written two books on software testing. In the past, he has been president and secretary of TestNet, the Dutch SigiST. Hans is accredited to teach for both ISTQB® and TMap at both foundation and advanced levels. Also, he developed an IREB (requirements) Foundation course and is accredited to provide it.
