Editor’s Note Hey everyone, this will be my final newsletter (insert sad face).

Mrs. Macgregor is still looking for people to be next year’s ed-

itor and webmaster, so the due date for application forms has

been extended until after school on Monday 2/24 for those

two positions only. Spencer and I need successors! There’s a

lot to talk about in terms of past and future events, so read

on for more information. Enjoy! Your Editor,

Samuel Wu

President’s Message Our service year is slowly coming to a close, and I couldn’t be

more satisfied with all we accomplished together! Together,

we successfully served our community by fundraising for a lo-

cal boy with leukemia, helping the PAL Red Hawks at their

Game Day, hosting an exciting Coffeehouse, raising hundreds

of dollars for Eliminate, and many more. However, we still

have Class Projects and Canning to serve the Krinner family

on our endeavor with the Builders Club to help them rebuild

their home after a tragic fire. I want to personally thank you

all because my four years in Key Club would not have been as

enjoyable without your dedication and enthusiasm. I’ll end the

sappiness here since the service year isn’t over until DCON,

but I will be back with more corniness afterwards. I wish all

of you who are running for a position good luck and I can’t

wait to see you guys (or whoever is going) at DCON!

Yours truly,

Jasmine Jean

2013-2014 Key Club President

Baldwin Oaks

On Thursday 2/20, Key Club members headed over to the lo-

cal senior center, Baldwin Oaks, to entertain the elderly. There

were tons of performances including dances, poetry readings,

songs, clarinet, and acts. We served them the snacks and

drinks that you guys brought in, so thank you to everyone

who donated!

Montville Volleyball Marathon

On Friday 2/21, Montville’s annual volleyball marathon was

held. This event is the largest event in our division and is al-

ways a success. This year, there were 85 teams that participat-

ed and a record of over $9,000 was raised for the Eliminate

Project! Thank you to everyone who played and spectated for

their contribution to such a great cause.

In addition to District Convention, there is also an annual In-

ternational Convention. This year, it will take place from July

2-6 in Anaheim ,California. This is a chance to meet Key

Clubbers from all around the world and to get even more in-

volved! The early bird price ($175) goes until May 16th, so if

you are interested there’s still plenty of time to sign up!

Congratulations to Christina Xu, Anne Cheng, and Henry

Shen for being chosen to be this year’s Class Project Direc-

tors! All funds raised from these projects will go toward the

Krinner family.
