What’s MyRetirement"Number"?There’s been a lot of talk lately abouthow everyone needs to hit a certain“number” before they can retirecomfortably — a number that is,

frankly, intimidating to many Canadians. Is it true?

First of all, your so-called "number" or retirement savingsthreshold won’t come from a simple formula. Contrary to whatsome may think, the same number doesn’t apply to everyoneand will likely change as our lives evolve. Also, we all havedifferent lifestyle goals for our retirement years.

Some want to spend their later years travelling the world, otherswant to stay at home and tend the garden, and yet others planto work at a job they love indefinitely. In each case, differentsavings are required and a number of variables, ranging fromspousal contributions to your health status, can impact theamounts needed.

Advocates of the “number” often refer to a 2010 C.D. Howe studythat suggested most Canadians who want to retire at age 65and replace 70% of their working incomes, must save 10%-21%of pre-tax earnings every year for 35 years. That can be adaunting goal for many people who find it challenging to saveeven 10% of their paycheque each year. As others have sincepointed out, a 70% income replacement goal is a “goldstandard” and many can be quite comfortable having 50%-60%of their income in retirement.

That said, smart savings and investment choices today arecritical to ensuring you have access to a secure post-retirement

income. It is also true the longer you delay saving for retirement, the moremoney you will need to set aside in later years. So, how do you take thefirst step toward figuring out what your retirement savings goal shouldbe?

Working with an advisor can help. Rather than worry about achieving asingle large number, an advisor will take a structured approach to figuringout what you need to be comfortable at various points in your life. His orher questions will range from "How will I generate income in retirement?"to "How will inflation and taxes affect my lifestyle?"To figure out what you need to save now, an advisor will help create acustomized plan to reduce your risk for the years to come. For many, thesimplest step is to open an RRSP or TFSA, and apply a structured approachsaving a little each month.

Your advisor should also help educate you on managing money after or asyou near retirement. It is important, for example, to understand theimpact of inflation and identify safe withdrawal rates that account fortoday’s longer life-spans. As you age, your advisor should also help youavoid high risks, and keep investment costs and taxes low.

To create your own investment strategy, speak with an advisor to begintaking small steps toward your future retirement or other life goals.

Make Your Life Easier - Get to Know Your Insurance Hi, I’m Debbie Villeneuve, your local AllstateCanada Insurance Agent here in Cornwall. Iregularly encounter people who havequestions or want to learn more about their

insurance and I’ll be using this space over the next few months todiscuss ways you can ensure your family, home, car, and belongingsare properly protected and to also talk about ways you can savemoney on your premiums.

We often purchase insurance because we’re told to, and we only thinkabout it when buying a car or moving into a new home. Then we fileit away and forget about it until the time comes to make a claim. But you should think of your insurance policy as a means to help getyou back to where you were prior to an unexpected event – whetherit’s a storm, car accident, or fire. It’s important to review it and knowyour coverage will properly protect you before the unexpectedhappens.

When you’re about to purchase your insurance, whether it’s for a car, ahome or a recreational vehicle, I advise everyone to sit down with aninsurance professional. Always be sure to give your agent a very clearpicture of what you’d like to have covered. Getting an assessmentdone prior to purchase will not only ensure you’re properly covered, but it will help you both figure out if you’re eligible for discounts, or ifthere are other ways to save money on your premiums.

After you’ve purchased your insurance- it’s also important to check inwith your agent when circumstances in your life change. If you havea teen that’s about to start driving or to move away to University, callyour agency to let them know. Altering the occupancy in your homeINSU

by Debbie Villeneuve (renting a room or your basement), making structural changes or

installing a swimming pool can affect your insurance. If you’ve decidedto retire and will no longer be driving to work on a daily basis, a call toyour insurance agent could save you money on auto premiums sinceyou won’t be using your vehicle as much as you did while working.

An open dialogue between you and your insurance agent is a great wayto make sure your policy provides the proper coverage, and peace ofmind – which is something we all want from our insurance.

A penny for your thoughts? The days of the copper maple leaf have come to anend. The Royal Canadian Mint has officially ended its distribution of the penny. Themove makes a lot of sense because it actually costs the government 1.6 cents tomake each penny. Discontinuing the one cent piece will save the governmentapproximately 11 million of our tax dollars each year. The Federal Government hasalso sent instructions to store owners to start rounding prices up or down to thenearest nickel for cash transactions while electronic purchases (such as debit andcredit) will be billed to the nearest cent.

EYE O

N ECONOMY How Clutter May Eventually

Lead To HoardingThere comes a time when one must realizetheir living space may be an unhealthyenvironment, worse, and a hazard for thewhole family. This article may serve as thateye-opener; this could be your opportunityto change your life for the best.

What is clutter? Wikipedia's encyclopedia defines clutter (organizing) as: a confusing ordisorderly state or collection, and possible symptom of compulsivehoarding. Disorder and reduced effectiveness interfere with one’s life.Anything taking up space and disorganized in your home can causestress.

Causes of clutter• Lack of time• Mental exhaustion due to work or a social situation.• Physical health: An injury or chronic condition can make cleaning up or re-organizing difficult.

• Procrastination or lack of motivation: wanting the problem to disappear but choosing instead to do something enjoyable.

• Feeling overwhelmed: when a task becomes too great, tackling it might seem too difficult.

• Compulsive shopping: buying to relieve anxiety and over time the buying creates a dysfunctional lifestyle.

• Emotional avoidance: being afraid of the loss of memories from someone in your past if you discard a physical object.

• Denial: convincing you it’s not that bad.

How clutter affects you -You may genuinely believe your clutter to be an asset. Some items may indeed be worth something, practically, financially oremotionally but when it isn’t used it becomes useless. It is only when you startdecluttering that you will realize how much better you feel without it. Clutter canmake you feel tired and lethargic. It can keep you in an emotional past. It canaffect your body weight. The confusion it creates may cause you to wasteperishables, to lose things, to spend on things you already have. It will certainlyaffect the way people treat you. You may have reached a stage where your homeis so cluttered that it has become a mess. This can leave you too embarrassed toinvite people to your home. It can cause outright panic should people turn upunannounced. If the problem is serious enough, it can lead to costly repairs fromrot and mold, or worse, an eviction notice.

You can live in lonely isolation with your belongings, but wouldn’t you prefer todeclutter, repair your self-esteem and reclaim your social life with confidence?

Decluttering creates a sense of relief - Letting go of old and unused items canbe hard at first, but if done properly, it is completely freeing. If you are constantlybuying things you do not need, decluttering will definitely help you. You can alsoearn money by decluttering. Some of the things you no longer need, someoneelse might. Gifts you never liked can be appreciated by someone else.

What is a hoarder? A hoarder is a person who is unable to get rid of items eventhough they are useless, because doing so will cause anxiety. The result is acramped living condition where a home becomes filled to its capacity, with onlynarrow pathways winding through stacks of clutter. Some hoarders also collectanimals, keeping dozens of pets in unsanitary conditions.

Hoarders often don't see a problem, which makes things challenging. Intensivetreatment can help people who hoard understand their compulsions and live asafer, more enjoyable life. This behaviour can be a symptom of obsessive-compulsive disorder which is a distinct mental health problem.

The five levels of hoarding - Based on the condition of the home, there are fiveclassifications of hoarding to be introduced on February 22nd.

St. Valentine's Day is all about love. Remember in gradeschool, opening the little heart- shaped cards, hoping tofind one from your favourite beau. Now, all grown up, setyour table with your finest linens and china and thegentle, flickering light of candles. Prepare a wonderful

meal complete with a decadent dessert for your very special someone. I have been saving this recipe for over a year to share it with you for this special day.Michael Herman, a great cook, won second prize preparing this recipe for a UnitedWay fundraising event. He wanted to share it with us. Thanks Michael and enjoy a romanticSt. Valentine's Day with your loved one.

TRIPLE -CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKEThis recipe was invented by Yvonne Ruperti, from Cook's Ilustrated. It looks so decadent. The recipeserves 12 to 16. The cake can be made up to one day ahead, keep refrigerated, covering it with plasticwrap. Allow it to sit at room temperatue 45 minutes before unmolding and serving. We sell allingredients, pans and spatulas at my store, Sharyn's Pantry.

METHOD:FOR THE BASE LAYER:-Adjust your oven rack to the middle position and heat your oven to 325 degrees F.-Grease the bottom and sides of a round 9-1/2" X 3" springform pan. (Note, I only carry 9" or 10"springform pans, I would probably choose a 10" one to use.)-Melt the chocolate, butter and espresso powder in a large, heatproof bowl set over a saucepan filledwith 1" of barely simmering water. Stir occasionally until smooth.-Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly, for about 5 minutes. Whisk in the egg yolks andvanilla and set aside.-Using a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat the egg whites and salt on medium speeduntil frothy, for about 30 seconds. Add half of the brown sugar and whip until combined, about 15seconds. Add the remaining brown sugar and whip on high speed until soft peaks form, about 1minute longer, scraping down the sides of the bowl halfway through.-Using a whisk, fold 1/3 of the beaten egg whites into the chocolate mixture. Now, using a rubberspatula, fold in the remaining egg whites until no streaks remain. Transfer the batter to the greased

springform pan, gently smoothing the top with the spatula.-Bake until the cake's centre has set but is still soft. (it will spring back after pressing gently with your finger), for13 to 18 minutes. Transfer cake to a wire rack to cool completely for about 1 hour. (Note the cake will collapseas it cools. Do NOT remove the cake from the pan.)

FOR THE MIDDLE LAYER:-Combine the cocoa and hot water in a small bowl; set aside. Melt the chocolate in a large, heatproof bowl andset over a saucepan filled with 1" of barely simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove fromheat and allow to cool slightly, for about 2 to 5 minutes.-In a clean bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, whip the cream, sugar and salt at mediumspeed until it begins to thicken, about 30 seconds. Increase the speed to high and whip until soft peaks form, about15 to 60 seconds. -Whisk the cocoa mixture into the melted chocolate until smooth. Using a whisk, fold 1/3 of the whipped creaminto the chocolate mixture. Now, using a rubber spatula, fold in the remaining whipped cream until no streaksremain. Spoon the mousse over the cooled cake and gently tap the pan on the counter 3 times to remove any largeair bubbles. Gently smooth the top with an offset spatula. Wipe the inside edge of the springform pan with a dampcloth to remove any drips.-Refrigerate the cake for at least 15 minutes while preparing the white chocolate mousse.

The Joys Of HibernationWhen the cold weather strikes, whentemperatures plummet and the road conditionsare treacherous, I hibernate. Since I am in a newtown and don’t know too many people yet, itcould be seen as an escape, but really, it is anecessity for me. When I go into hibernationmode, it gives me a chance to recharge my

batteries, catch up on some long overdue projects, reflect on thingsin general and plan for warmer weather activities.

I for one was happy when the NHL strike ended and the boys wereback on the ice. There has been some exciting games, some veryquestionable calls, a string of injuries taking favourite players out ofthe game and a barrage of games to occupy those blistering coldnights.

Last weekend I was homesick and seriously contemplated headingout to my hometown, but the weather forecast was not positive, snowsqualls were in my region and so I stayed home. My place is toastywarm and I made do with the provisions I had, as much as I wanted tohead out for groceries, my desire to stay warm fostered my creativeside and after pulling out everything in my pantry and organizing it, Ialso was able to assess what I had.

Concoctions of vast ingredients and staples were used to make somedishes. When I whip up concoctions it always makes me think back toold school computer games my son had when he was young, thek

riscrossroadsby Kris W

ard Reader Rabbit word game where you open cupboards and have to find

things that begin with the letter provided. Three ingredients werechosen and then strung together with the word “surprise” at the end.Brad would love it when I would make concoctions out of what we hadat the time; it was like the game he loved so much.

One of the words for q was quinoa and at the time, I didn’t know what itwas, but I tried it at the college during a health break this past summerand really enjoyed it. While out shopping earlier in the month, I pickedsome up and I have to say it was so easy to make and so tasty andapparently good for you too.

I unpacked a few more boxes and revisited my walk in closet. It is a greatspace, but I have to be creative to make it work efficiently. Of course myvast shoe collection is giving me headaches trying to fit them so I cansee them best. More things have been cast aside for donation and thenew pieces I purchased after the holidays are being worked in with myold wardrobe. With this cold weather, there are a lot of outfits waiting inthe wings for just that hint of warmth, some sun and dare I say it, thaw.

As I write this, I am looking out my patio window at the winterwonderland that I will journey out to meet shortly. It is a work day, andthe planned outfit will have to wait. It is still too cold. No, I am not oneof the brave that enjoys the outdoor winter. But thanks to my DVR,hockey, music and all those looming projects, I will enjoy thehibernation time.

SEEKING THE ARTS . SEEKING THE ARTS

To Critique or not toCritique, that is thequestion?Whatever your particular Artistic Disciplineone tool that is invaluable to you is thecritique. The unfortunate thing is it is alsothe most misused and abused tool. In the

right hands this tool will help to zero in and assist theArtist who although talented is having difficulty moving their workto the next best level of their ability. In the wrong hands it can takean emerging artist’s confidence and leave it in an eviscerated heap.

I look at the Critique like a Cosmetic Surgeon at work; a skilledsurgeon will take a broken, damaged or even slightly off the markface and with grace and a fine hand make it better; a surgeon thatdoesn’t have a clue what they are doing will take a good face andwhen they are finished have it resemble something between a frogand a cat.

In visual art the only criteria for the critique is the “Elements ofDesign”. In other art disciplines there are a similar set of elementsthat over time have been proven criteria for a music and song writer;dancer; writer and movie maker. These elements are, theCommandments, so to speak of artistic discipline and when followedwill not only help you to produce a successful creative product butwill help you to see where your work is failing. Anyone who critiquesyour work without referring to these elements are “Blowing Air” don’tlisten to them.

Once we know these elements you would think that we would beable to be objective when it comes to our own work, unfortunatelythis is not always the case. You know something is off but you are notsure what it is. This is when you need the help of the second opinion. The critique is an important part of the creative process and onlyshould be done by someone who you feel safe with. Critiques thatdo not focus on the elements of design (or your disciplineselements) are injecting personal likes and dislikes. Avoid this person.

In the case of Visual Art if the person critiquing your work is nottalking about balance, value, focal point and unity they don't knowwhat they are talking about and you can basically ignore anythingthey are saying. These design basics are what make a weak painter'spainting great and a great painter's painting fail. This formula ringstrue in every artistic discipline; the elemental basics are the only truejudge of good or bad when it comes to Art.

Things like technique, control and subject are things that come withtime and practice but great technique and control of the tools willnot make up for a lousy overall production this is true for painters, musicians, dancers and writers. I have seen paintings that are so

technically realistic you have to look twice to see if it’s a photo but the designof the canvas is poor and the colour has no value changes (think about aphoto with a big tree stuck in the middle with the top and bottom exiting theimage). On the other side I have seen newbie painters create powerful imagesbecause although the brush strokes were not controlled their overall designwas impressive.

Design trumps ability every time, have both and you’re on your way!

All the great abstract painters knew this fact and used it, the great dancers andsong writers knew it, the writers of the best novels and plays used it to theenth degree. In my opinion, if it was good enough for Leonardo, Rembrandt,Shakespeare, Mozart and Spielberg then it is good enough for me.

Losing JoviePhoto and article bt Franca Raco

On February 6th, 2013 I had the pleasure to attend aphenomenal exhibition called, "Losing Jovie”, by a talentedlocal artist, Renée Lalande. The exhibit was attended bymany of the artist’s family, friends, colleagues, and aformer high school teacher along with the general public. Itwas a truly unique experience to live through a family'ssorrow and intense love for the loss of their child. Amongstthe beauty of the representation of different mediums suchas paintings and other multimedia, the intense feelings feltby the artist and portrayed in the pieces reflected back onthe viewer. Like many who attended, I succumbed to theintense emotion and wept and grieved for their loss. It ishard to imagine the courage it took for the artist tooutwardly present her grieving process for everyone toobserve. I really admire this about Renée. What I lovedmost about this exhibit was the beautiful footage thatRenée and her husband shared with us. They were so manyincredible and loving moments with their beautifuldaughter, Jovie. It was so touching. I encourage everyone togo and see this wonderful Exhibit. "The opening receptionwas a great success!

Making the bestof Winter

For those of us who really enjoy the outdoors, thewinter can be long and dark when the weatherconditions are as cold and icy as they have been. Here are some tips to make the most out of thewinter:

• Find a new hobby or workout routine. Sincewe have so much time to spend indoors, winter is agreat opportunity to learn something new. You canlearn to knit, take a dance class, learn to run, and/ortake up Yoga and meditation. Spirit Tree Yoga offerssome very unique practices and workouts notfound anywhere else in the city. You can heat thingsup with our Hot Yoga classes, or slow things downwith our meditative Gentle and Yin Yoga classes.

• Get out of the house, away from the TV, andlearn something or see something new. The publiclibrary, The River Institute, Aultsville Hall, your localgyms and community centres, even Spirit Tree Yoga, all offer something interesting like workshops, plays, and musical events. There is so much goingon in Cornwall that no one should be saying “Thereis nothing to do here”. Stay connected with yourcommunity on Facebook, bookmark theirwebpages, read the local papers like The LocalSeeker, etc… to find out what is coming up, and

make an effort to attend. These events are soenriching to the soul. It is so much betterfor you than sitting in front of the TV!

• Learn to cook. Since it is sodark so early, take this time tolearn how to cook. Why doesdinner need to be a rushedevent? Savour the time in thekitchen and cook with yourfamily or partner. Turn themusic on, have a glass of wineor sparkling water, andexperiment. It is so rewardingto create a meal for your familyand loved ones. Don’t knowhow? There are many placesthat offer nutritional andyummy cooking classes. TheHealth Nut-Sylvie Thibertoffers monthly HealthyCooking Seminars and is afeatured guest at Spirit Tree Yogaon March 6th. For $10, you canattend her mini-health seminar andlearn about cooking naturally.

Winter can be a time you take to get connectedwith yourself and find out what really makes you happy. Ingrid Goff-Maidoff, a poetand mystic, states “Open the inside door: touch the deep knowing within you”.Plotinus states “Happiness depends upon ourselves.” When we take the time to reallylisten to ourselves, we connect to a deeper sense of ourselves and realize that we don’tneed a lot of stuff to make us happy. Most of the time, listening to a good song, talkingto a good friend, enjoying a yoga class, is all it takes to be really happy and contented. It really is the small stuff that feeds our souls, not stuff we buy. So enjoy this season oflong good nights, become friends with yourself and do what makes you happy!

Black Dots and Other DistractionsThere is an easy exercise I use when facilitating. Itake a black marker and draw a dot in the middleof a large piece of flip chart paper. Do this for

yourself. Take out a sheet of white paper and with a pen or markersimply place a dot in the middle of the page. Now, staring at the paper, askyourself, “What do I see?”

When I ask participants what they see, most people respond, ‘a black dot’. Isthat what you see?

Now look again. Notice that the dot takes up less than 1% of the entirepage. What is left is a whole lot of white space.

Apply this same principle to life. During any given day, there are black dotsthat occur. These dots come in many forms – a mistake you made at work, aconversation with a friend that disturbed you, an item of news on the radio,or any other potential distraction.

Unfortunately black dots are coated with Velcro – they seem to stick to you. They occupy your thoughts and dampen your emotions. They are usuallycharged with something that triggers you and because of that they grow insize and take up a lot of space. You forget about all the white space aroundthe dot.

The white space, by the way, represents reality. For every black dot or similardistraction, there are many more events going on in your life that are positive.Unfortunately when your focus goes to the black dot, the white space is forgotten. There is an old adage that states, ‘where your attention goes, energy flows’. This isexactly what happens with the Black Dot Syndrome. That one less than perfect eventof your day is the event that consumes you. You dive into it again and again, examining it from all sides. As you do so it grows and grows. All the great things thathappened in your day are pushed aside and all but forgotten.

This, by the way, is a recipe for undermining yourself!

What is the alternative? Perspective. Black dots are small and deserve an equivalentamount of energy and attention. Your ability to contain them makes a difference.Begin by asking yourself the following:

roadSIGNSby Betty Healey

SEEKING THE ARTS . SEEKING THE ARTS• Is this a black dot, or simply a distraction?• Before you give your energy and attention to any black dot, ask

yourself what is in the white space. In other words, enumerate all the amazing things that happened in your day and give your energy and appreciation to these.

• When you return to the black dot, ask yourself how important the distraction is? Most times you will discover it is simply just an annoyance.

• Put the dot in perspective, don’t allow it to grow. Balance the dot withthe white space.

You might consider this conversation regarding black dots to be abstract ornot important. If that’s where you are, ask yourself how you feel at the endof every day. Are you exhausted? What consumed your energy?

Or

Are you uplifted? What fed this feeling?

You have choice to make every day, and believe me it is YOUR CHOICE. Youcan choose to let the black dots dominate your landscape or you can pullyou focus to the larger part of the canvas, the white space. Remember, thewhite space is filled with all the good and great things that happen to youin a day. Unfortunately they will slide by you unless you pull them intoconsciousness and examine them.

Begin making a choice today to choose thoughts and feelings which upliftyou rather than deplete you. As Mike Dooley says in his daily ‘message fromthe Universe’, thoughts become things, choose the good ones.

Choose to be conscious and aware of what is playing in the background.Bring your attention to what really matters – the white space. This is realitymore than any black dot you can identify, for in truth, it represents 99% ormore of what is in your life. Making this choice will allow you to live a moreauthentic and optimistic life for truth lies in the white space.

Until Next time… Betty Healey

Ask the Herbalist,by “Chartered Herbalist” Sam LePage

We all know that winter is the season of the “Cold” andperhaps you have been following news reports that thisyear we have been plagued with the flu virus in recordnumbers. There are many natural herbal remediesavailable that can help with symptoms and speedrecovery; some can even be used to prevent illness.

Before I begin it is important to note that if you have anyhealth concerns you should consult your heathpractitioner before taking any herbal medicine as herbscan interfere with medications, and may cause seriousand potentially fatal side effects.

As a qualified Herbalist I can help you to understand howherbs work. Many of us assumethat because herbs are naturalthat they are safe, but this isnot always the case. Herbs areoften powerful medicine in factmany of our currentpharmaceuticals are derivedfrom herbal medicine. I cananswer many questionsincluding what you should NOTbe taking if you are takingother medications.

In this issue I would like todiscuss the benefits of Elder (Sambucus Canadensis), oneof our oldest known medicinal herbs. This commonindigenous shrub has powerful properties that workwonders in fighting colds and flu as well as cold sorescaused by the herpes simplex virus. They have antiviraland antibacterial properties and will help to reduce feverand inflammation. Powerful antioxidants they will speedup the elimination of toxins from our bodies. The berriesare loaded with vitamin C as well as vitamins A and B.Elder has long been believed to be one of our mosttrusted immune boosting herbs. If I believe that I have beexposed to illness I drink a tea containing elder flowersor take some elderberry tincture at the first possibleopportunity, and I never travel without it. I keep an eyedropper bottle of tincture in my carry on and take itevery 4 hours as a preventative measure whenever I amin an enclosed environment such as a plane, train or bus.

Elder is also beneficial for treating bladder and urinarytract infections and it is believe to help lower cholesterol.I harvest elder from the wild throughout our region it isabundant near marshy areas. I do not harvest fromroadsides or near agricultural areas where pesticides areused. I use only the flowers and berries, in fact theremainder of the plant is poisonous as are the berries ifingested raw, uncooked. I dry the flowers and maketincture from the berries which also make wonderfulwines and preserves.

While we snuggle under blankets to keep warm duringthis deep freeze, why not imagine drinking a lovely cupof elder flower tea on a hot summer day. As it gentlylowers your body temperature you will feel coolcomfortable and invigorated.

If you would like to Ask the Herbalist please send in yourquestions and comments to [email protected]

Community Strikes Again Article by Sara MurphyPhotos by Sara Murphy and Grant Reso

The Tim Hortons Big Brothers Big Sisters “Bowl for KidsSake” City Challenge took place on Sat. Feb. 2 at OlympiaBowl and Nativity Lanes in Cornwall. Over 1,000 bowlerstook part in the event, raising $56,000 for Big Brothers BigSisters of Cornwall and District.

“We so appreciate everyone in the community who cameforward, putting in new teams to help us make up the difference thisyear, and also to all our returning teams who, year after year, are therefor us,” said BBBS Executive Director Amanda Brisson.

The annual bowling event provides a very large portion of funding forBig Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall and District, allowing theorganization to offer seven free mentoring programs to area youth.Without the community rallying together for events such as TimHortons Bowl for Kids Sake, the valuable programs that BBBS provideslocal children and youth would not be possible.

The Tim Hortons Bowl for Kids Sake event includes the City Challenge, the Counties Challenge Cup and an in-school Wii bowling activity. TheCounties Challenge Cup happens on Feb. 10 in Chesterville.

“We hope to raise over $5000 in Chesterville. We haven’t raised as muchas last year, but we will find ways to make up the difference,” saidBrisson. “The community always comes through for us.”
