by the Head. Speakers are asked to give 2 or 3 repeat 30 minute presentations to students and parents giving de-tails of the entry routes into their career, their own career path and also a brief outline of a ‘day in your life.’

Dear parents and carers,

A Nonsuch Christmas has been a wonderful way to end the first term of the academic year. Don’t miss the

time-lapse clip on our website showing the entire Christmas Fair in 1 minute. It captures just how hard the PTA

worked to support the event and the buzz of excitement created by the girls running stalls and spending at them.

The girls had a great time setting up and running their stalls which developed and show-cased their creative and

entrepreneurial skills. Attached with this newsletter you will find the school Christmas card – fruit of the Nonsuch

and Wallington Christmas card competition. Congratulations go to the Nonsuch winning entries from Jessica in

year 12 and Aceise in Year 7 and thanks to the other entrants whose cards have adorned our school reception

area.

Tuesday this week saw both the return of our sixth form leavers to collect their A level certificates and prizes and

the visit of our guest speaker, ex alumna and twice British gold medallist for cycling at the Olympics, Joanna

Rowsell-Shand. She was incredibly generous with her time, being interviewed by the girls at a whole school

assembly in the Sports Hall; then meeting with GCSE and A level P.E. students and finally speaking at the A Level

Celebration and Prize-Giving evening. Her speech was eloquent and moving and she impressed all with her

determination, honesty and gratitude for the role the school had initially played in providing the opportunity from

which she was talent-spotted.

To celebrate the festive season and the NWET partnership,

NHSG and WHSG both ran a competition to design a

Christmas card that would be used by the NWET this year.

The criteria for the design brief had to include the partner-

ship, the House symbols in each school (the planets for

NHSG and inspirational women for WHSG) and a

Christmassy theme!! A tall order that even the best design

firms would find a challenge!

Congratulations to all those who entered.

Design & Tecnology

On Wednesday 19th October 2016 all Year 9 students took part in another exciting Problem

Solving Challenge, run by the Design and Technology Department.

Their task was to design and make a basket ball game causing a table tennis ball to fly

freely upwards into the air and fall into the top of a basket or ‘catcher’. Points were available

for making a device to launch the ball into the air and for producing a tall structure to catch

the ball. Bonus points were also awarded if a buzzer sounded when the ball was caught.

Not only was there lots of fun to be had, but students also developed a variety of skills

including: team working, designing, making , creativity planning and working to a deadline.

Students worked well in groups and came up with a range of really interesting ideas

involving levers and catapults. Students continually tested their products to ensure that they

were in full working order, ready for the judging.

It was great to see the girls discussing their ideas and applying their knowledge and there

was loads of cheering and clapping as devices were tested, balls caught and buzzers went

off.

Careers

On Wednesday 19th

October we held our first University Taster Event, which was also the

first cross school NWET student event. The numbers were impressive, 15 Universities, 30

Lectures, 323 Nonsuch students, 240 Wallington students ant 14 students from

Carshalton Girls!

It was good to see the student leadership teams from both schools working together to

manage the event on the evening, doing a splendid job and receiving great praise from

the visiting academics.

The feedback from the universities was excellent; University College London, who did a presentation on Security and

Crime Science, said ‘Thank you for the invitation - it is always good to speak with bright and enthusiastic students

and I hope we will see some applications to our BSc in the coming years. It was a positive experience and I was

impressed at the answers to questions given by many students in some exercises I ran.’

Students seemed equally impressed. Comments included ‘Extremely engaging

lecture in which I gained a lot of interest, knowledge and understanding of the

biological sciences. We learnt about current issues in science and the academic

had a lot of knowledge and experience in scientific research which he told us

about, giving us as true insight on how the world of science works’ and ‘Loved

it, the professor was engaging and helped us with all our queries when it came

to English literature as a potential degree’ and ‘I enjoyed seeing the prosthetic

limbs and knee joints’.

Kiana Y12 writes about her experiences with NCS The Challenge…… Week one of The Challenge consisted of bonding with our team and many outdoor activities such as high ropes, cliff climbing and orienteering. The second week was also a residential, however, this time at a university. The main aim was to learn a new skill and also learn how to improve one's CV, confidence and general life skills (such as cooking and cleaning). The following week and a half were more focused on the community and social change. All the fun and inspiration from the first two phases helped

us to deliver our own social action projects. This involved planning and fundraising to ultimately make a difference to certain organisations within the local community! However, this was not the end of my NCS journey. I applied to be an NCS leader and was offered a place on a residential programme that occurred in October 2016. Here we engaged in many leadership workshops, visited Twitter, BBC and community organisations and heard from guest speakers such as Nicholas McCarthy and Hugh Stephens. This week empowered all of us; giving us the methods and inspiration to create our own social action projects. Since then we have all returned to our regions, ready to create change. In addition to these fantastic opportunities, NCS has offered us much more, giving us the opportunity to interview Mike Malak from KID talks and Raleigh Ritchie from Game of Thrones. I would highly recommend NCS to students as it offers the chance to make lifelong friends and will be the highlight of your summer. The Challenge programme is open to all Y11 and Y12 students this summer and they will be visiting school in January with more information. The cost of the 3 week programme is £35, which covers travel, accommodation and food. Last year 120 students attended The Challenge and for the past few years we have been one of the top attending schools in the country.

House

The second half of the Autumn term has been jam-packed with house events with a huge number of girls receiving

credits for the talents they have been showcasing. With 152 entries into Halloween competitions and 129 individuals

auditioning for the Talent show the house totals have taken a huge boost! As reported in the weekly newsletter, we

ran our House Halloween week straight after half term; here are the winners and some of the en-

tries they produced.

Subsequently, the House Officials ran auditions for our House Talent Show with the big event taking place on

Thursday 1st December. The school hall was buzzing with excitement, with students from across the school filling

up every piece of available space in order to see and hear the wonderful performances delivered by our finalists.

The girls performed with great flair and confidence and the appreciative crowd responded with whoops, cheers,

claps and there was even a standing ovation! The event was rounded off by two Sixth Form Acts, our amazing Hip

Hop dancers Sophie, Chloe and Malmi and our very own ‘Jennifer Hudson’ Saba who bought the house down with

her soulful vocals! All finalists receive 20 credits for their house so congratulations to Efia, Jade and Vidusha in

Venus, Sylvia and Riona in Saturn, Aishanee, Aruntheny, Nabeela and Lauren in Neptune and Imaan in Mars.

Additional bonus credits are awarded to our top three acts: third place went to Tanushree in Jupiter for her

expressive Indian Dance, second place was awarded to Raghavi in Pluto for her version of ‘Hallelujah’ and our

winners were Anna, Sarah and Theodora in Mercury. Their act combined expert piano playing with a beautiful

contemporary dance piece, made all the more impressive as the students come from year 8 and year 11 meaning

the girls had to collaborate effectively to perfect their act.

We are rounding off the term with our Christmas form decorating competition which is to be judged

on Tuesday 13th December. On Thursday 15th December we will hold our termly House and Jack

Petchey assembly where we will be announcing winning students in each year group for house

credits and prizes will also be given to winning forms in each year group. Lastly we will discover who

the House Champions are so far this year. All students will receive their house credit certificates on

the last day of term via their form tutor. In addition to house events, credits are awarded to

students for outstanding achievement, effort or for demonstrating active citizenship so we

hope you will share in celebrating your daughters’ successes.

Music

AUTUMN CONCERT – 17th November

The Autumn Concert was a tremendous

success and all those girls involved should be extremely proud of their performances!

We had a complete variety of musical styles on show, with performances ranging from

Symphony Orchestra to Ukulele Group, to

African Drumming Ensemble to Chamber Choir. Each ensemble showcased their

talents with composure and finesse; the quality of musical performance was

exceptional! Unsurprisingly, tickets sold like hot cakes and the Hall was completely full!

Congratulations to all the girls involved - it

was a thoroughly enjoyable evening! The Music Department would also like to

thank all the staff, students and parents who kindly volunteered their services to help

with the evening’s performance.

Chamber Choir – 19th November

On Saturday 19 November, Nonsuch Chamber Choir, along with Miss Waller, performed with Epsom Choral Society

at St Martin’s Church. Accompanied by organ, piano and orchestra the two choirs, along with a tenor soloist

performed a moving rendition of Britten’s challenging cantata: St Nicholas. The girls performed their part with such

maturity and precision, receiving many a compliment from both choir and audience alike. The choir was also lucky

enough to perform solo too and their sublime performance of Karl Jenkin’s Adiemus received much enthusiastic

applause and praise. The girls should be extremely proud of themselves as the Britten is really not an easy work;

most school choirs would not even begin to attempt such a challenging work!

Nonsuch School Choir – 27th November

On Sunday 27th November, 32 Nonsuch girls along with Miss Waller and Mr Reeve sang Handel’s Messiah at the

Royal Albert Hall. It was an incredible experience, singing with full orchestra, organ, 4 professional singers and 1000

other youth choir members! The girls had been practising their choruses since September and their hard work paid

off. A massive thank you goes to Mr Lutton for running the rehearsals prior to the concert itself.

Opera Trip – 1st December 2016

On the 1st December, the Music Department went to see

Verdi’s highly acclaimed Il Trovatore at the Royal Opera House,

Covent Garden. The production was amazing; there was fire, many tears and much blood involved. Despite the opera being

extremely dark and cruel, the singing was sublime and left the students (and teachers) awestruck!

Competition Successes:

On Saturday 19 November, Sophia and Anastasia took part in Kingston Music Festival. They performed the duet:

Sabre Dance by Khachaturian in the ‘Own Choice Duet 15 years and under’ class. They were graded outstanding

and came first in their class and also across all duet classes. They have been invited to attend the concert and

prize giving on 10 December where they will collect their Cup. Congratulations girls!

VOX CELESTES of Nonsuch once again achieved First Prize with Outstanding, in the Open Choral Singing

Category at Sutton Music Festival. Many congratulations to all the girls involved and their rehearsal coaches, Mr

and Mrs French.

Jack Petchey Achievement Awards

I’m pleased to report that three students have been awarded a Jack Petchey

Foundation Outstanding Achiever Award. Tia (pictured) was nominated for her achievements in football. She was recruited by Brighton FC Academy

and trained several times a week while keeping up with her GCSE studies. She is now playing for Crystal Palace and is taking a sports leadership qualifi-

cation alongside her A Levels.

Elise in Year 11 was nominated for her commitment to charity and volunteer-ing. She cut off 38cm of her hair and donated it to charity and also raised

£200 for the Little Princess Trust and Children in Need. In addition she coaches younger students at cheerleading club.

Ruth in Year 9 is our final winner for the year. Ruth visits care homes for the elderly and sings for their entertainment. She also spends time talking to

residents. The time she gives is valued by the residents.

The girls will receive their certificates at the end of term assembly and will be invited to a Borough Presentation on 20 February 2017.

N.Holmes

Jack Petchey Co-ordinator

I am delighted to report that 151 girls signed up for the Bronze, 52 for Silver and 23 for Gold Awards this term.

A number of girls are completing their volunteering for the Clic Sargent Cancer charity following a request for help

from Marks and Spencer in Epsom. The girls are packing bags for customers over the festive season and during

the January sales.

The first expedition training session of the year took place on the inset day on 28 November and the girls worked

hard throughout the day. The next events for the new participants will be the training walks in the Spring.

An impressive 120 students have completed an Award since April 2016, and there are a number of girls waiting for

approval by London so I am confident we are going to have our highest number of completions in a year since we

started the Award in 2013. 10 students have gained their Gold Award since April, including some girls who are still

in Year 13, which is an outstanding achievement. Well done to Ayesha, Sophie, Ju, Aditi and Ambika. Certificates

and badges are being awarded in the celebration assembly at the end of term. I hope it will inspire other students

to upload all of their evidence so they can also be recognised for their efforts.

Physics

Thirteen Year 13 physics students recently experienced the mind-stretching delights of the A2 Physics Olympiad Challenge, and all made a highly commendable effort, displaying serious grit in working on some very tough problems. I’m pleased to share that 11 students received Certificates of Participation from the British Physics Olympiad, and 2 have won Certificates of Merit. Well done to all! Merits: Priyanka, Georgina Participation: Brahmi, Karthigaa, Rubavani, Angela, Miranda, Victoria, Katy, Michaela Jasmine,Philippa, Kanya

Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge

Both enjoyable and educational, the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge on Friday 2 December proved to be an enormous success. Twenty seven Year 10 pupils were selected to participate in the whole day session on public speaking, and it was hugely rewarding to see the pupils develop their oratorical expertise and confidence. This culminated in their own inspiring speeches at the end of the day. Congratulations to the following Y10 girls who have been selected for further consideration as potential candidates for the finals in May : Meera, Haniya, Safeera, Caitlin, Aarushi and Melissa. Many thanks also to Ms Stead who acted as our expert guest judge in the afternoon.

The Year 10 Latin class recently toured the ancient Roman site of Aquae Sulis, or Bath as it is sometimes known, to investigate the thermae (baths) and handle some artefacts that the Romani (Romans) left behind when the site was abandoned 1500 years ago. The students were particularly enthused to see some of their favourite characters from the Cambridge Latin Course appear in some inscriptions! Alt-hough the water looked inviting, nobody went for a swim, but most sampled a sip of the sacred spa water – though reviews were mixed (ranging from ‘It tastes like water’ to ‘Ew, why does it taste like blood?!’). The students ended the day with a classroom session led by Peter, a particularly enthusiastic museum interpreter, who taught the students about the Celtic origins of the site as well as how to read Latin inscriptions. multas gratias agimus (many thanks) to Ms Ross for leading the trip, Mr Key for accompanying, and to the students for making it a wonderful and educational day.

History & Politics

Parliament and Supreme Court Trip

Ms Budden and Ms MacPherson took the Year 12 Politics students to Parliament and the Supreme Court to further

their knowledge and engagement of the two institutions which they will be studying for their AS level. We were

there on the day following the High Court decision on Article 50 and the government’s decision to appeal, so stu-

dents were able to sit in the chairs that the Supreme Court justices will be in to decide one of the biggest Supreme

Court cases in years and certainly the most important since the justices moved from the House of Lords. We had a

very interesting and engaging tour with a fascinating collection of cases and

issues for students to grapple with.

We then had a tour of Parliament and were able to sit in on a highly relevant

Adjournment Debate on the issue of internships. We also had a discussion

and debate about the effectiveness of select committees and were able to see

one of the rooms used to hold a committee.

In an ever-changing political environment, being able to see the places where

many of the most significant changes are going to be decided was appreciated

by all the students. Ms Budden

The Great Debate

On Monday 22 November Nonsuch took part for the first time in the Historical Association’s “Great Debate”. The

competition encouraged students to write a 5 minute speech on a historical subject and then face rigorous ques-

tioning from some expert judges. The subject of the speech was 'How did the First World War affect me and my

community?' and Anne Caussy from Year 13 very bravely stepped forward to represent the school. The competi-

tion was held at the Institute of Education in Central London, and Anne spoke very well against a range of candi-

dates from other London schools, focusing on how the First World War affected society’s appreciation of the role

of women, and also developments in the provision of mental health care. She was not put off by having to go first,

and very deftly answered the judges’ probing questions. In the end victory went to Tiffin Boys School, but the

judges gave very encouraging comments to Anne about her performance and in particular the extent to which she

had researched her subject matter. The whole experience was very valuable for building confidence and learning

the art of public speaking, and we hope to return next year! Mr Coy

Russia History Conference

Year 12 and 13 History students attended a Russian History Conference at

UCL’s Institute of Education to hear how historians have interpreted the

events which form part of the A Level course. From social and economic

policy and the downfall of the Tsar to Bolshevism as a religion the conference

provided a fascinating insight into current historical thinking surrounding

the turbulent history of Russia in the 20th century. Providing further depth

to their knowledge of the topics the conference not only proved invaluable to

their studies but also to broadening their understanding of the work of

historians themselves. And of course the opportunity to experience the

indelible (and loud) Orlando Figes in person was a highlight for many! We

also were seated next to our NWET neighbours, the students from

Wallington High School for Girls!

Multi Mini Interviews (MMI)

Friday 25 November

Amna Ahmad came in to speak to the Politics students

about her candidacy for the parliamentary seat of Sut-

ton & Cheam. She spoke about how she got into Poli-

tics and her passion to represent the issues of the con-

stituency. The students asked her a range of questions,

including on the most contentious issues such as tuition

fees and Brexit.

Paul Scully, the current MP for Sutton & Cheam, will be

invited into school to speak to the students later in the

year.

Mr Carabine

On Thursday 1 December we ran our Multi Mini Interview event. 48 students

took part, moving around 6 different stations. Along with teaching staff and

student helpers, we were fortunate to have 8 doctors and 1 dentist testing

students. Each student received individual feedback from the interviewers,

which should help them prepare for any interviews they are invited to later in

the year. One of the medics commented ‘the evening seemed to go really

well, and what a great bunch of students! I was very impressed by the level

of communication skills and confidence they showed.’

"On the 13th of December, in celebration of the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles visited the Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Knightsbridge where we performed in a choir. HRH the Prince of Wales arrived at noon and after a short service of Thanksgiving he looked around the church and met the congregation. After that, there was a concert in which the church’s adult choir performed three pieces and then the children’s choir sang Gaelic Blessing by John Rutter.

Mrs Holmes (Head of Year 7)

Mr Coy (Head of Year 11)

As I write, all the Year 11’s are hard at work in their Mock Exams, and I have been very impressed by the way they

have conducted themselves for these, lining up sensibly and settling down quickly in the exam hall. I have also been

very pleased with how they have settled into the year, and have been taking their preparations for their GCSEs,

including all their coursework, very seriously. I hope that, once the exams are over and the holidays begin, the girls

will all be able to get some rest and take a short break from their studies, so they are relaxed and ready for the year

ahead. Please encourage them to “plan in” some balanced activities in their schedules, so that they have time for

some relaxation and exercise alongside all the work and revision that must be completed, and have opportunities to

take their mind off things and avoid unnecessary stress.

It has been a momentous year in terms of current affairs, and I continue to be delighted that the girls take a keen

interest in what has been going on in the world around them. I have heard discussions about Syria, Brexit, and of

course, Donald Trump. We are living in exciting, and sometimes uncertain, times but I am confident that our talented

students are very well-equipped to thrive in whatever circumstances they face. May I wish all Year 11’s and their

families a restful Christmas break and a very happy 2017!

Mrs Bond (Head of Year 12)

It has been another very busy term for Year 12 as they step up to the challenge of their A-level courses.

Our visit to Avon Tyrell in October was a huge success, despite a complete blackout on Saturday evening, when the planned film was replaced by Miss Pinel telling ghost stories. Even completing problem solving puzzles in the rain did

not dampen their enthusiasm! Pupils were very positive about the weekend and we hope that it helped them not

only to develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills, but also to establish friendships which will last a long time.

Avon Tyrell was followed swiftly by university taster sessions in school, when visiting lecturers from 15 universities

came to Nonsuch to talk to year 12 and 11 pupils about different courses and opportunities available to them.

Again, feedback was very positive and we are grateful to Mrs Tingley for organising the event.

Thanks must also go too to all the year 12 pupils who helped out at the Opportunities in the Sixth Form evening recently. I know that staff were grateful for their support and year 11 were impressed by the enthusiasm shown by

year 12 for their subjects.

As the end of this half-term approaches we start thinking about opportunities open to year 12 pupils. On December

1 we held our evening of Mini Medical Interviews, when pupils interested in careers in medicine and dentistry were able to undertake the kind of activities they will be expected to perform as part of a medical interview at university.

Once again thanks go to Mrs Tingley for organising this event.

Next term we will be talking to pupils about the Sixth Form Leadership opportunities open to them and how to apply

for the positions, following tutorials on developing leadership skills. We look forward to reading their applications and talking to them in interviews!

I would like to wish all of year 12 and their families a very restful and peaceful festive break.

P.E

This year I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to

be a Barclays ball kid at the tennis World Tour Finals. In

October I attended one of the trials in London and after

receiving the congratulatory email, I went to Southamp-

ton for base camp. Here I met the 29 other people I

would be living and working with at the O2. We spent

this week improving our skills, learning how to distribute

the balls and socialising with each other. The week itself

was absolutely amazing, being so close to the players

and even meeting a few. It was physically demanding

but extremely rewarding and it is a week I will never for-

get.

Some of our Ball Girls also made a guest appear-

ance on the front of this year’s Queen’s Club

Christmas card. They are pictured here in the line

the ATP Aegon Tennis Championships.

Year 7 & 8 Fulham Training Ground Tournament

The year 7 and 8 football team represented Nonsuch at the Fulham Football Club’s Kinder and Sport

EFL U13s Girls Cup at Fulham training ground on Friday 25th November. It was a fun day and

everyone played very well as a team and individually. Both teams had tough opponents. However

they pulled together, showed great sportsmanship

and excellent team work. The results were very

close. Unfortunately neither team made it through

to the group stage and overall Blenheim went on to

win the tournament. The goal scorers on the day

were Ninsola, Somotochi and Yasmine. Congratula-

tions to all 16 girls who participated on the day. A

special mention must go to Lydia and Grace who

both received medals from Fulham Football Club

officials for outstanding play on the day.

Netball – U15 Greenacre Shield

On Thursday 10th November the Year 10 netball A team

played the Greenacre shield tournament. Our first game was

against Wallington, it was a very competitive game but

despite our best efforts, Wallington edged ahead to take the

match 5-2. This was a real shame as we went on to win our

next matches convincingly against Greenacre, Old Palace and

Dunottar. In the overall standings we came second. The team

played well in a highly competitive tournament achieving a

good result.

U15 Surrey Hockey Trophy Report

On the 21st November we travelled to Epsom College for our hockey tournament. We had fixtures in our pool

against Epsom College, Wimbledon High School and JAGS. We really enjoyed playing the games and it was great

to put the skills we have been developing at training into a competitive game. After some mixed results within

the pool we went on to play our final game against St George’s College which we unfortunately drew.

I think that the tournament really tested our communication skills as well as our individual hockey skills. Every-

body on the team really enjoyed the day, even when we played in the rain! The tournament was an excellent

practice for the team before we go to Holland in May for our hockey tour. We also want to thank our teachers

for taking us to and from the tournament and for always encouraging us.

Sutton Schools Borough Cross Country

- Champions

On the 3rd of November, the Nonsuch cross country

team attended the Borough Cross Country

Championships at Northey Avenue. After walking the

course, everyone was confident and ready to race.

First up were the Year 7’s, who got Nonsuch off to a

great start, with Lydia placing 1st overall. Next was

the Year 8 and 9’s race, with some great results from

many students. In the year 10 and 11 race, we also

had brilliant performances from the athletes, with 5

placing in the top 10, and Elsa coming in 2nd place.

The senior race was also very successful as Mollie

came 3rd overall. As well as these outstanding

individual achievements, many years placed first,

which meant that Nonsuch won overall, making us

borough champions.

Year 8&9 3rd Place

Year 10 Volleyball Tournament

On Wednesday 7th December two newly formed volleyball teams travelled to Stanley Park High School

to participate in the Year 10 Volleyball Pathway competition. Having only formed a week before, we

were a mixture of nervous and excited as we warmed up for the games to follow. The first team to face

us was Stanley Park themselves, the current reigning

champions. They were well drilled and they had four

vicious servers. The Nonsuch B team bravely stepped up

to open the tournament and put up a valiant fight. The A

team soon followed and similarly resisted against the

might of the other team. We enjoyed playing each other

in the group and the B team came out on top, due to

some impressive serving from Andrea. In the end, the A

team were placed third and the B team emerged as

runners up to the hosts. Exhausted, we journeyed home,

full of optimism about our next game and determined to

win.

England vs Jamaica International Netball

After an eventful train journey, we walked to the Copper Box in the Olympic park to watch the first of three inter-

national test games, of England ‘Roses’ vs the Jamaica ‘Sunshine Girls’. The game was as entertaining as it was

skilful and we were taken aback by how fast and powerful they were! As well as the netball, there was an array of

other activities designed to help us enjoy the evening. Including a range of sweets, face painting, free clappers, a

merchandise store and games. The reaction game Ellen scored the same as one of the England netballers, go El-

len! After more anticipation we took our seats and waited for the game to begin. England started strongly and were

up by seven goals in the first ten minutes. Meanwhile, Tilly and Reshaba had won a competition to ball girl the

event so they had the best seats in the house but had to be extremely focussed. The tables turned just after half

time when the Jamacian team started to utilise their 6ft6 goal shooter and despite changing GK’s in an attempt to

contain her, the England defence couldn’t stop her and England lost the first game. Although they lost it was so

exciting to see our sport being at such a high level, we hope that England can beat them in the next game!

Individual Achievement

Sophie competed in the European Trampolining Cup

Last weekend, after taking part in the European Cup held in Gran Canaria, my team won gold. This was my first time participating in

an international TeamGym competition. I was lucky enough to com-pete in a team of my three friends. We were so happy when we

found out all of Heathrow gym could come home with gold, so we

celebrated in the warm sun. I really enjoyed it and hope to go back next year.
