A New Source for ResinsGel Filtration Resins, Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC) & Ion Exchange Chromatography

For gel filtration or size exclusion chromatography we now offer Agarose 4B, 6B, CL-4B and CL-6B.

For hydrophobic chromatography we offer 6% agarose with Butyl, Phenyl and Octyl groups to separate biomolecules with relative hydrophobicity. Phenyl format is offered as a high and low sub.

For ion exchange chromatography, we offer 6% agarose with carboxymethyl (CM), a weak cation exchanger; with sulphopropyl (SP), a strong cation exchanger; with diethylaminoethyl (DEAE), a weak anion exchanger; and with quaternary ammonium (Q), a strong anion exchange.

The new CHEMI only is dedicated to chemiluminescence imaging. This system is built for high performance and automation and features a next generation high quantum efficiency CCD camera for even greater sensitivity. CHEMI only allows automatic capture of a quality image of any Western blot with a single ‘click’.

Western blot imaging has never been as easy as with the VWR CHEMI only. The system automatically selects the right imaging conditions for any blot - regardless of the chemiluminescent reagents being used. All chemiluminescence applications can easily be handled by the CHEMI. Produce superb images even from the faintest of signals.

The compact instrument sits on any laboratory bench taking up very little space.

The VWR CHEMI only is ideal for small blots (up to 11 x 8 cm). The cooled 16 bit camera (ΔT -57 °C) with fixed lens (f/0.95) and data feedback amazes with a great quantum efficiency (73% @ 425 nm) and high resolution (4 MP).

More hydrophobic than PTFE

The surfaces of the Ultra Low Retention tips from BRAND are produced through a special physicochemical process. The homogeneous, defect-free surface thus produced has extremely low surface tension – over 50% less than PTFE. This significantly reduces sample loss and provides substantially higher reproducibility when working with critical media.

• Ideal for biological samples that contain detergents such as Triton™ X-100, SDS, Tween etc.

• No additives that can be leached out! No siliconization of the surface!

• High chemical resistance. Ideal for working with solvents.

• The tips can be autoclaved at 121 °C (2 bar) without damaging the material properties.

Tech specs: BIO-CERT® quality: sterile acc. to ISO 11137 and AAMI guidelines, a SAL of 10-6 is obtained. Free from DNA, RNase, endotoxins and ATP.
