Liwa Plastics Project to Commence
Operation by 2018.
$ 3.6 bn Liwa Plastics Project (LPP) of ORPIC will
enable Oman, for the first time, to produce
polyethylene (the form of plastic) that rates
highest in terms of global demand.
Upon completion, this project will create 1,200 to
1,500 direct jobs besides thousands of indirect jobs
while taking the country into a different league in
terms of capability and capacity to deliver on the
world market.
Present Status – Under EPC bidding stage.
Location – Sohar, Oman.
