DAY 1: BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY Board your overnight flight to Israel (not included).

DAY 2: WELCOME TO ISRAEL A Volant representative will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

DAY 3: TEL AVIV, CAESAREA, HAIFA We will travel north to a town called Haifa. On the way we will stop by the Caesarea Maritima, the ancient remains of the coastal city. While in Caesarea expect to see spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. Later that day we will continue our trek north. Haifa has many sights to offer tourists, including the remarkable Baha'i Gardens. Also called the Hanging Gardens of Haifa these gardens are comprised of 19 terraces that extend up the slope of Mount Carmel. Tonight expect to watch the sunset over the open water.

DAY 4: HAIFA, NAZARETH, TIBERIAS After we leave Haifa we will explore Mount Carmel National Park. Not only is this park one of the largest open spaces in Northern Israel but it is also a prime example of the Mediterranean ecosystem. Before making our way to the Sea of Galilee we will make one last stop in the city of Nazareth. In this famous town where Jesus grew up, we will visit Mount Tabor and the Church of Annunciation. Today, the town Tiberias on the coast of the Sea of Galilee will be our final stop.

DAY 5: CAPERNAUM, TIBERIAS Capernaum, also referred to as the Town of Jesus is where we will spend the first half of the day. Here we will see the Mount of Beautitues which is the location of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Capernaum is also home to the Church of Multiplication, the Church of the Twelve Apostles and many more. The second half will be spent exploring the ruins in Tel Hazor National Park.

DAY 6: GINOSAR, TIBERIAS Today we will begin our day in Ginosar, a small town off the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Ginosar is famous for housing the Ancient Galilee Boat, also called the Jesus Boat. After a relaxing morning we will tour the Mount Arbel National Park and Reserve and explore a cave-fortress and ruins of an ancient synagogue.

DAY 7: TIBERIAS, BEIT SHEAN, JERICHO, MASABA Although today's destination is a town called Masada, just southwest of the Dead Sea we will be making several stops along the way. First and foremost we will explore the ruins in Beit Shean and take our first peek at the Jordan River. Traveling south, our next stop will be Jericho, where the ruins of the Wall of Jericho reside. Jericho is also known to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. After lunch we will continue to Masada.

DAY 8: MASABA, JERUSALEM We will start the day with breakfast conveniently provided by the hotel. Soon after we will get the opportunity to explore the Masaba National Park, the birthplace of the Dead Sea scrolls. Then we will tour one of the great palaces, Herod the great built for himself around 30 BCE. The rest of the day will be spent traveling north to Jerusalem but not without first stopping at the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve and the Qumram National Park.

DAY 9: JERUSALEM Getting an early start to our day we will make our way to the Western (Wailing) Wall. While at the Wailing Wall we will be privy to the many tunnels that can be found below the city's surface. This holy wall is the last remaining portion of the Temple Mount enclosure. The Temple Mount is viewed as one of the most holy sites in the world. This hillside is the proposed location of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, a sermon of Jesus' moral teachings. While in the Temple Mount we will also have the opportunity to view Muslim shrines and the Dome of the Rock. Next we will follow the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Suffering or the Way of the Cross, to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the location of Jesus' crucification. Along the Via Dolorosa we will witness the 14 stations that mark the route Jesus took from his trial to his crucification. After lunch in the Christian quarter we will make our way to the Garden Tomb, the site of Jesus' burial and resurrection. If time permits we may then explore Zedekiah's Cave, the Tower of David and the Church of St. John the Baptist. We will spend any remaining time of the day in Old Town Jerusalem before going back to our hotel for the night.

DAY 10: JERUSALEM Our pilgrimage today will take place just outside of the Old City. We will start at the Last Supper Room and walk east through the ruins of the City of David. from there we will begin out trek north through Pool of Siloam and tour the Mount of Olives, Hezekiah's Tunnel, the Church of Mary Magdalene, Gethsemane and the Tomb of the Virgin. The day will end at the Orson Hyde Memorial Gardens and the BYU Jerusalem Center. We will be sure to engulf ourselves into the surrounding food culture throughout the day. Make sure to try the local falafels, hummus plates, and fine cheese while in the Holy Land.

DAY 11: JERUSALEM, BETHLEHEM Our second day in Jerusalem will be cut into two parts. Our morning will consist of visiting both the Yad Vashen Holocaust Museum and the Israel Museum. After which we will break for lunch before driving to Bethlehem to tour the Church of Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus. Bethlehem offers many tourist activities including the Olive Wood Factory and Johnny's Souvenir Shop. There will also be an opportunity today to explore strip malls in downtown Bethlehem.

DAY 12: BETHANY BEYOND THE JORDAN, DEAD SEA Crossing into Jordan we will visit Bethany Beyond the Jordan the site of Jesus' baptism. This location is also associated with the ascension of the Prophet Elijah. Due to the fact that Bethany Beyond the Jordan connects to the West Bank we will have to take a shuttle to gain access to the area. After the included audio tour we will drive to our hotel, our final stop for the day. Our accommodation tonight will be on the shores of the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is the largest natural spa in the world. Its water and mud both have healing properties to them. If time allows we will spend a good portion of our evening floating in this incredible salt lake.

DAY 13: MT. NEBO, MADABA, PETRA After an early start to our day we will work our way to Mt. Nebo. As well as witnessing the beauty of the surrounding wilderness we will visit the Memorial Church of Moses. Soon thereafter we will drive over to the town of Madaba. Once termed the Mosaic City of Jordan, Madaba will allow us to visit the and see the Basilica of Saint George. Before arriving in Petra we will make one final stop to see the Shobak Castle. By days end we will be among majestic sandstone castles.

DAY 14: PETRA Our time in Petra will be spent exploring both the man-made sites as well as the spectacular natural phenomenons. We will make sure to visit the picturesque Treasury, Roman theater, Silk Tombs, High Place and the Monastery. There will also be the opportunity to hike through the Siq which is a mile-long narrow passage or gorge that leads into the city. Our strenuous day in the middle of the desert will end with us relaxing by the pool in our comfortable accommodations.

DAY 15: WADI RUM Wadi Rum National Park is only a 90 minute drive from Petra. This area offers spectacular views of the desert, sandstone formations as well as deep canyons. One such canyon, Khazali Siq, is easily accessible by foot. We will explore the 150 m deep ravine keeping our eyes peeled for drawings of ostriches, pairs of feet and a woman giving birth. Wadi Rum itself is protected wilderness that contains natural sites such as natural arches and sandstone mountains. Must see sights include the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Umm Fruth Rock Bridge, Al-Hasany Dunes, Alameleh Inscriptions and many more. Be prepared to be struck by these natural beauties. It doesn't get much better than this. After our day in the desert we will head

Day 16: AMMAN After an early start to our day we will eventually arrive in Amman, the capital and largest city of the Hashemite Kingdom in Jordan. Following lunch we will tour sites such as the Temple of Hercules, the Hashemite Plaza, a Roman Amphitheater, and the Amman Citadel. If time permits we will spend the afternoon exploring the modern culture. Amman has any opportunities for shopping as well as art galleries. This night will be spent in our hotel in Amman.

Day 17: JERASH, AMMAN On our last day in the Middle East we will take a day trip up to Jerash. Jerash offers the most preserved Roman ruins outside of Italy. Here we will be able to explore many archeological sites such as the Temple of Zeus, the Arch of Hadrian and the Temple of Artemis. There is more than enough history here to keep us occupied all day. Once we have had our fill of the ancient Roman architecture we will drive back to Amman for our farewell dinner.
