Dear Dave,
Your welcome mailing of the 24th I do thank you for: Please let me know the cost.
I'll probably be going over it again because I've been so snowed under I had to rush.
I've never met or to the best of my recollection ever spaen to the 1a Fontaines or
had any connections with 'eeparado Productions, That they knew of any release and said
nothing is surprising. At the least!
It also reminds me, and I do not recall whether I told Gary, Johnson of anyone else
down there. What the DPI) gave the TCI was available years ago, on microfilm, I had it
feint .d and gave 2ensterwald one set of the prints, so aetkC noo has them.
If at some time you can provide records on or a specific account of the finding of
those three mdn I'd appreciate 0a.,-ing something on file if only because Garrison and
Stone made so much of that nothing. Hy info. was that it was a boxcar, not a gondola, but
you may have docuementction of the gondola. That it was about 1:50 is not that far from the
9u minutes after the shooting that I was told. If that referred to when the pictures were
taken, and I ma do not recall, then they coincide on time.
If you need any checking done in Albany, N.Y. I have a law(mtudent friend there.
I'd heard that there is a record of k'ritz having' had the men turned over to him if
not more than that.
You do not aay where the car was when they were found in it or that they were drunk.
information was that it wan behind the Central4tnnel: P.O. An FBI report of its investi-
gation that I triggered lays it was about a mile away. I think; that in wrong.
I lo,k forward to anything else you can send and thank you for it in advance.
iimong other things there should be several internal investigations that should be
reflected in reports on them and at least one on DP))—FBI relations because Hoover, after
compelling Curry to make public apology for telling the truth, broke all relations with DPD
and that included even training. I do not recall how long that lasted.
"aortal Efror" is a fraudulent book I've not yet read but I'm interested in a copy of
anything you may see on it. He told the Wash Post, or his publthsher did, th0 it trashes
me. I assume this is contrived for some special purpose because I did try to help him
but also made clear that I thought hie theory is impossible. So, criticizing no in the
book could be designed to discourage the media from asking me about the book.
I've not read the Giancana fiction and do not expect to.
-'ivingstone's Hagh Treason II Is due soon.
Thanks and best to all,

Dear Harold,
Tramp, tramp, tramp the tramps are marching. Enclosed find the arrest records of the three tramps plus two others. Mary and I have been looking into it. The "nut cases" are complaining that they were told the tramps were never arrested so why were arrest records found? Well, our friends Ray and Mary LaFontaine (Desperado Productions) actually found the records. What they didn't say was that those documents were part of a 1989 release! Yep there was not much fanfare when the papers were turned over to city hall. It took Stone's movie to spark enough interest to have people take a look.
I think it went something like this. Vaughan and Wise pulled the three out of a gondola car about 1:50 PM. They took them to Harkness who told Wise and Bass to take them to the sheriffs office and Harold Elkins. Elkins claimed he turned them over to Fritz. Fritz said the Dallas Police checked them out and let them go. Now Harkness testified (Warren Commission) that they were arrested. But this was pre-Miranda so how would he know. Harkness was still in the rail yards when the trio were finally brought to DPD. Note they were tossed in jail at 4 PM.
There they languished for a few days . I believe there was so much going on that the police forgot about them. When the error was discovered they were let out. LaFontaine made a big deal over no arrest number and no thumb print. Notice that even the typed arrest forms don't have that information. Jim Leavelle says they didn't use that portion of the form anyway.
Well here's what I found. I believe Gus Abrams died
in 1987. Just before he arrived in Dallas that fateful day, he had been released from the Ohio State Pen. The record shows a date of birth that looks like Sept. 29, 1910. The Abrams I found had a d/o/b of Sept. 29, 1912. His address in 1987 was Newark, Ohio. I think Gedney is living in Melbourne, Florida. I am still working on him. Mary had great success with Doyle. Of course his address was shown as Red Jacket, W.Va. I understand he lives on the west coast - No he's not Holt - and has an attorney from Albany, New York.
Joe West has started up the Roscoe White stuff again. I am sure you know Giancana has written a book "Double Cross" in which he names Oswald, White, Tippit and others as shooters. I don't know who sold them on that old chestnut but it is getting a lot of play down here.
I have made three trips to city hall to look at the records. Enclosed is some of the fruits of my labor. Enjoy.
Best wishes,
Dave Perry
