Hello Freshers!

Firstly, welcome to LIPA! You will soon find out that this university is one of the friendliest, fun and welcoming places to study in the UK and we plan to show you this with our amazing Freshers 2015 line-up.

We are the Independent Student Board, the ISB for short, and are a team of current students. The idea of this society is to organise all your social events and student led productions. We will be kicking off this year with lots of parties and activities.

We cannot wait to meet you in September!

Come on down (after your induction day) to LIPA’s gardens to enjoy fun, games and a delicious BBQ.

A perfect feast for a hangover! There is also a chance to have your hair braided, face painted and more, so come and enjoy some delicious BBQ food and have fun meeting new friends.

Nerf Guns and a load of Freshers, what could possibly go wrong? This is a Nerf Gun tournament to end all tournaments - the perfect freshers week ice breaker!

Bring yourself along and we’ll provide the Nerf Guns and a Nerf Gun professional (who doubles as an graduate comedian) to organise the chaos.

An evening showcasing the very best of LIPA’s bands, artists and DJs situated at one of Liverpool’s best venues for the very last time before it closes in the new year.

This is not to be missed, make sure you bring your mates along!

Full line-up will be announced nearer the time of the event.

An evening of shear class. Come sample one of the bar’s fine cocktails, try your luck on one of the casino tables and enjoy the smooth jazz from our in-house lounge band.

Just sign up to sing, rap, play or perform a couple of songs to some of your fellow Fresher’s.

Make sure to sign up during freshers fair to guarantee a slot! A piano to play will be available upon request.

It’s the end of Freshers’ Week... But not quite yet! Here’s one last party to officially draw the week to a close.

Originally created to work as visual therapy; My Apartment Doesn’t Have Any Corners is a beautiful contemporary dance production by third year student Eirik Dreyer Sellevoll.

The choreography follows the emotional journey of Eirik from when he was 12 to today. This performance is a display of abstract movement portraying the ups and downs.

Are you that fresher who’s desperately trying to keep cool and down pint after pint on a pub crawl but just you can’t seem to keep those jazz hands down? Yeah. Us too. This showcase will allow you to take a break from the shots and indulge in the show-tunes! With a fab cast of 31 actors, a funky live band and fun and a high energy set list include some of the best musical theatre numbers ranging from Book of Mormon to Memphis and everything in between.
