Breaking news

Farewell and welcome back

Today we said goodbye to Josefina. It is quite special for someone to become part of a staff in such an easy and

quiet way. We appreciated your professionalism and hope to see you back in future. You are a born MYP

teacher!

Fortunately we also welcome back Florencia from her maternity leave. We are very happy to have you back and

hope you get settled into your new routine quickly.

Morning assembly on Thursday

We will have no morning assembly. Mentors, please let your classes know.

MYP Authorization visit.

What to say? The reality is that we have to wait for the official report. Both Sabrina and I have a positive feeling

about the exit meeting. There will be matters to be addressed, but I really hope that we can fix it by sending in a

report. We will let you know as soon as we receive news. Again, thank you so much for your hard work and

support in the months leading up to the visit and your positive attitude in getting this done.

Sinterklaas!

I hope you agree that this was a lovely addition to our year calendar. Thanks to the parents and Yvette for

arranging it all during a very hectic week.

Staff matters

Christmas dinner

This year our Staff Christmas dinner will be held on Thursday 15 December starting with pre-dinner drinks at

16:00. Yvette and Natasha are organizing it. Invitations, I believe, are on their way. One thing you may want to

consider is using public transport home, as we will be serving wine at the dinner.

Lars will be back as from tomorrow, joining us for half days until further notice. It is nice to have you back Lars!

Academic work

Now that all the MYP AV excitement is over, we can really focus on getting a lot of work done before the Christmas

break. Report 2 is due on the 13th

of March. Only two months after the Christmas break and we should not leave

tests and assignments for the two weeks before the report is due. This was a very specific request from the

student council.
