International SustainabilityAcademy (ISA)ISA, the first-of-its-kind in India, is a sustainability education initiative based in Idukki, Kerala founded by pioneering sustainability practitioners in India. The academy will offer a wide variety of courses and certifications in different areas of Sustainability. ISA currently offers a 3-month Certificate Course in Sustain-ability at its campus in Idukki.

Idukki, which cradles the Western Ghats, provides a great backdrop with its scenic beauty and sustainable communities. Our goal is to craft sustainable professionals and sustainability entrepreneurs so that we can seamlessly integrate sustainability into businesses, livelihoods and our daily lives.

ISA’s Certificate Course in Sustainability is an intensive, short term, residential creden-tialing programme that will provide a comprehensive awareness of sustainability practices. The course will provide participants an orientation into sustainability professions and help them explore this develop-ing sector as a career option.

EmployabilitySustainability is a booming sector with a lot of career potential. This certification grooms participants for professions such as: Chief Sustainability Officer Sustainability Auditors Supply Chain Manager Plantation Manager Certification Manager

MethodologyThe course will be a well-bal-anced mix of theory and practice. Lectures supplemented by assignments, case studies, group projects and field trips to sustainable hot spots will make the learning entirely experiential. Students will be assessed periodically to determine the eligibility for certification.

EligibilityOnly graduates (any stream) who qualify an aptitude exam are eligible for the course. The qualifying exam shall test the candidate’s knowledge on sustainability.

Campus and Location The campus of ISA at Idinjamala, a sylvan hamlet in Udumbumcho-la region of Idukki District, Kerala is an eco-friendly campus, with residential and classroom facilities and an incubator farm which runs on renewable energy. The ISA campus situated at Idinjamala, is the project area of MASS (farmer’s co-op) & students will have access to many community farms and sustain-able projects during their course period. Moreover, Idinjamala is in the Western Ghats, which is one of the top 25 bio-diversity hotspots of the world.
