Welcome to our joyful celebration of the birth of our Savior. Christmas stirs our soul to remember the depth of God’s love for us. He sent His Son to be our light, our hope and our source of true and lasting peace. My prayer this Christmas for you and your family is that you may know the depth of God’s love and the joy of His peace in your heart and in your home. May these holy days be a time for your family to come together and celebrate great faith and generous love for each other. As I look at our world, our need for our Savior is great. We live in a world marked with fragile peace and struggling hearts. This Christmas, and throughout the new year, we need to pray and work to be instruments of God’s peace and compassion in our world. Our parish community is working hard to continue the mission of Jesus, and to be a special place for you and your family to grow in the grace and peace of the Lord. Please take a few minutes to read through this Christmas bulletin and see, for yourself, the many programs, opportunities, and ministries in our parish that are available to help you, your family and our parish family strengthen your faith and love for the Lord and others. Serving Neighbors is Our Way (S.N.O.W.)

We are called to love our neighbor as ourself. This takes on special meaning in the winter days when snow hits the driveways and sidewalks. So many of our seniors are not able to tend to their own drives. It’s essential that we keep their drives and walks open in case of an emergency. Project SNOW is simply a call for each of us to be good neighbors to our homebound and our seniors. Please help keep their drives and walks open and accessible. Please call the Parish Office to Share how you can help. You know the need. You know your neighbors. When the snow falls – serve your neighbor –it’s Our Way, as followers of Jesus and members of Saint Ambrose Parish.

Speaking of those neighbors? Is someone in your family, or neighborhood, homebound (either during the winter or throughout the year)? Please let us know so we can visit and bring them Holy Communion. We want to take care of all our members. Help us extend the care, compassion, and Communion of Jesus Christ to our homebound. Please contact the Parish Office with information, or to arrange a visit for someone in your family (330.460.7300 or [email protected]).

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

Eternal God, this joyful day is radiant with the brilliance of Your one true light. May that light illuminate our hearts and

shine in our words and deeds.

May the hope, the peace, the joy, and the love represented by the birth in Bethlehem fill our

Angels on Wheels Saint Ambrose is starting a new “Angels on Wheels” ministry, offering care, compassion, and a home-cooked hot meal to our families that may be experiencing joy, or loss, or suffering. Are you celebrating the birth of a new child? Are you mourning the loss of a loved one? God is continuously nourishing our hearts, our minds, and our lives with his continued, everlasting love… and our parish family wants to nourish our families in the same way. If you find yourself in need, or know someone that does, please contact Lisa Homady at [email protected] or Kim Nemet at [email protected] . We want to shine God’s love upon those that need it and fulfill Christ’s mission of taking care of others

Are you looking to help someone in need? Do you want to provide care and compassion to someone that may be

experiencing joy, or loss, or suffering? We are looking for members to be part of our new Angels on Wheels ministry to help take care of our Families of God in a simple, yet meaningful and lovingly way… by providing and delivering a hot meal for a family of four, perhaps 2-3 times per year. Through your act of care, compassion and kindness, we can continuously grace and nourish God’s love on one another. Please contact Lisa Homady at [email protected] or Kim Nemet at [email protected] to be part of our new ministry! A simple act of kindness, a couple of times per year, is all we need to help grow our Angels on Wheels Ministry!

Dear Friends of Saint Ambrose School,

The Annual Saint Ambrose Auction and Gala is right around the corner. We are now accepting donations and volunteers for the March 21, 2015 event!

The annual event is one of the biggest ways that we as a parish are able to continue to offer the blessing of a Catholic education to the parish youth. Your donation of merchandise, gift certificates, services, experiences or cash will be greatly appreciated. As this is the largest fundraiser we undertake to benefit our teachers, children, and staff we hope we can count on you for your continued support.

Past auctions have provided for the necessities needed for the school to continue providing an excellent education. This year we hope to continue the tradition by raising money for various improvements that are necessary to the school including replacing the 50 year old boiler system and improving the air quality for our students.

The success of our Annual Auction would not be possible without you, our supporters! Please consider making a

donation to the Saint Ambrose Auction. Donations can be given in person at the Parish Office, mailed, dropped in the collection basket or sent to the school with your child. Please remember all donations are tax deductible.

If you have any questions about the auction, please contact co-chairs, Jennifer Keller or Jessica Voller at [email protected].

Thank you for supporting Saint Ambrose School.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Kel ler and Jessica Vol ler

niCene Creed (bow during italics)I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucifiedunder Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to theresurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
